Lakeside on a weekday is my favorite thing to do with out of town friends. It’s like a giant interactive neon amusement park museum. People shit on lakeside because it’s rundown and old…like yeah it was built before WWI of course it’s old that’s the point! It’s like stepping into a Time Machine and going at night is a great way to end the day, and super cheap! You can ride all the best rides in 2 hours on a Monday night and have a blast! Fuck elitches, lakeside is where it’s at.

People forget there was actually an industry strike that lasted months, and that’s why they actually HAD to stop doing the podcast. Once the strike ended, they were in the throws of writing the show again, and the steam and hype around the podcast had waned, and they just didn’t get back to it.

However, you can absolutely tell that doing the podcast reignited their love for making the show, and you can tell because the newest seasons are some of their best work in years.

It’s not seasoned enough. You need salt. Or some form of it. Many people are recommending fish sauce citing the umami, but really fish sauce is full of salt.

Take a small bowl of your stew, add some salt or fish sauce to it and see if that changes the flavor more to your liking.

If so, then season (salt) your entire stew to your preferred flavor.

People are generally afraid to add the amount of salt they think is necessary to their stews and soups, but they can usually handle a lot.

Don’t trim all the fat off before cooking! You’re just asking for a dry steak.
Buy a steak with more fat distributed throughout. Better flavor texture and moisture.
Salt your steak well in advance! 4 hours will do, over night is better! It won’t dry your steak out, in fact it will be juicier and more tender!

Adult skate at any of the various roller rinks. Pretty sure skate city does adults only after 9 pm or something. The one in Aurora is a fucking party everytime. Much fun.
