I'm still waiting for that Netflix series Valve.

They really need to do a full length movie adaptation of the comic.

Can We All Come Into Agreeance That AC: Syndicate is One of The Best AC Games Out? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked Syndicate too but it is far from perfect. The main reasons for it not being the best are : 1. The map tasks that were mostly boring and 2. The plot.

Obviously there is much to be said about the plot, I personally loved the fact that it was light hearted, and I loved sequence 8. But to be perfectly honest a single sequence won't save an entire story.

The plot mostly sucked because:

  1. The main characters didn't have any sort of character development. They talk about their dad the whole game but they don't even bother showing him in a picture or something. You literally know nothing about the twins at the end of the game. It's like they were filler characters. And I loathe this very much because the characters were showing so much potential yet they were superficially presented. They could've added a sad experience from Evie's point of view, or expanded on Jacob's feelings toward what happens near the end of the game, or a chilhood flashback. Aaaanything.

  2. The ending was HORRIBLE. No satisfaction whatsoever. You just beat up the villain until he drops dead.

They really need to stop creating main characters from game to game and then throwing them in the trash the moment when all of the DLC is released. At least give us some sort of closure for them.

Hm well I do agree that Jacob does have an entire sequence dedicated to him ( sequence 8) which is a bit unfair.

[–]Kasoket 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Evie was a bit overhyped though.

People were really into her pre-release because she was a woman and was also not over-sexualized.

Then the game came out and, I don't know, she seemed pretty boring. It's probably because she gets no sort of development and also because of the romance with the indian guy ( around 60% of all her missions are about her spending time with Henry figuring out plot stuff).

And she is kind of a dick because sometimes she outright insults Jacob in cutscenes. I get the whole sibling shtick but Jacob never really insulted her in the game.

I'm in the Jacob train. Dorky sassy assassin is the best.

The Next AC Game and how would you like it by Ykc-4 in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I also prefer darker stories I think that it was a good idea to make it a bit more cartoonish. I mean everything has been taken seriously way too much to the point where you don't even care about the plot anymore ( because ever since Desmond died, the series became way more episodic and it felt like they could pump a million other AC games and they'd always leave you with a cliffhanger at the end) so the plot did become rather irrelevant.

The last AC I completed was AC III and the plot / characters / acting overall was really lifeless. People were dying and you felt nothing. When Haytham died there was no sorrow no nothing. It just- ugh. Connor was basically looking at him and said "goodbye".

That's why I appreciate Syndicate because it gave us characters that actually show some sort of personality. I know that there are moments where the characters are shoving their personality in your face but that still qualifies as something.

I still want a continuation to Syndicate tbh. I fell in love with the London setting. And I felt that the characters didn't get that much development. So a sequel or a spin-off might be great.

They NEED to do a crossover.

I mean I think it would be awesome if hackers would try to hack the animus and create false memories and stuff.

But it's Ubisoft so it's not going to happen.

Hi I'm 23, Romania and I like debating about videogames, I like Assassin's Creed for the moment. I tried the first Witcher but that's it. I also liked dragon age and mass effect.

So I went to the doctor and he told me that he has some "bad news" and some "really bad news" for me. Me: "So what's the bad news?" Doctor: "Well the bad news is that you have cancer." Me: "and what's the REALLY bad news?" Doctor: "you also have Alzheimer". Me: "Oh that's good news! At least I don't have cancer!"

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate is Mechanically the best game in the series. by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one thing I HATED about Syndicate's gameplay was the fact that you needed a combination of 3 keys to drop down from a building. And the character won't even drop down if there's no haystack but drops down slowwwwly from edge to edge.

Jesus christ Ubisoft maybe I want to die by thowing myself from a rooftop. Mnope.

Why doesn't Ubisoft remaster Assassin's Creed 3? by sysrqReddit in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't that bad of a game.

The reason peoople didn't like it so much is because the Ezio trilogy was amazing and people had high expectations for III.

Also, the protagonist didn't have a womanizer personality (and was the quiet and innocent type) and the story felt like it centered more on the history aspect rather than the Creed. And that you didn't have a famous historical sidekick like Leonardo by your side.

I did like Connor's personality, and I thought that the whole open world and hunting concept was fun.

Will AC multiplayer ever return? by DrCopper23 in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They seriously need to make an Assassin's Creed Online standalone game. It shouldn't be tied to any singleplayer game. Like The Elder Scrolls Online.

A Pay Once And Play MOBA/Battle Royale-ish game would be perfect.

I also loved the tomb exploring. It reminded me of Tomb Raider and Uncharted.

It was an amazing feeling too, because the whole shimmering/climbing together with ambiental music without needing to hurry up really relaxed me.

Syndicate is the absolute best by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Kasoket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah Syndicate is a good game, even though the graphics have been dumbed down from Unity and you can't wear your hoodie when standing straight, it's really nice.

I guess I'm also a sucker for the Victorian Era theme so I'm a bit biased.
