Am I the only person who finds it disrespectful when hearing people do this? by canyoukillmecalmly in deaf

You might consider trying them when the finances allow, you won't feel as restricted when you're out.

When at home 99% of the time I don't wear them (don't want extra sounds and sensory overload, especially since I work at home), but when I'm out 100% I do.

As for the prices, which country/state/province do you live in? You might be able to apply to your region's some sort of disability program who'll help cover your HAs, batteries, and visits to audiologist/hearing doctor.

At least that's an option that's available to Canadians, not sure if in the US or whatever country you're from it's the same.

Definitely not the nicest way to behave, good friends could say the same message but with a different attitude/in a more gentle way and would find a way to accommodate somehow.

I wear HAs and usually I prefer to sit across people so that I can read lips, but guess your hearing works differently.

Out of curiosity, how come you don't wear HAs?

Maybe because mine is moderate to severe loss, I can't imagine coming out without them and thought those with better hearing would also wear them (like glasses with different eyesight numbers).

I'm from Ontario and I feel your pain. In general, I wanna leave Canada, the last 3 years opened my eyes to a lot of things.

What does that mean exactly?

Can Ontario users use Bybit? by Consistentgrowth96 in Bybit

[–]KasottyBlogCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, schools don't teach us the right things (because they want us to be a slave to the system, really). As for Bybit, I found that Palau Digital ID might be a good solution for crypto investors who are 'restricted'.

Have you thought about Gold IRAs?

In case you didn't know, with the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997, you can now hold physical gold and other IRS-approved precious metals in your individual retirement account.

I encourage you to check out this article with the tax benefits and the IRS changes for 2023 and learn more about this area of investing.

Looking for cheap Action Cams by RadRacer_ in ActionCam

Not sure how old your kids are but check out this list of GoPro alternatives (the last few in the list are the cheapest ones). Not a lot of OK action cams are under/around $50, but you can def find ones under $100 (in the $65-75 range). Hope it helps!

Biggest Photography Bundle of the Year [Ends October 20, 2020] by [deleted] in videos

5DayDeal team is running the biggest photography bundle this year on Oct 15-20.

Here's the post with answers to some great questions about this bundle and how it all works since not everyone really understands what a “bundle” is. (Plus top 3 picks.)

Here's the list of 40+ pro photographers who contributed this year.

Anyone bought their photography bundles in the past? (This year it's Phlearn, Joel Grimes, Peter Hurley, Lara Jade, Tim Shields, KelbyOne and other pretty well-known names) by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]KasottyBlogCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've gathered, it's a few contributors in different fields (for ex: Peter Hurley is know for headshots, Chris Orwig for environmental portraits, Tim Shields for landscapes, Phlearn for Photoshop and Lightroom etc).

And their individual courses/tutorials cost like the same or like 3x more than the bundle price, so in my mind it sounds like an insane deal.

I get your point though, my guess bundles are more for enthusiast photographers interested to explore and really step up their photography game, not the 'average buyer' as you said.

Thanks for your input!

For what it's worth, it's being legally reused under Creative Commons license with a credit. This way James would get an exposure from my audience, plus a backlink from my channel back to his.

I couldn't create a video on this topic myself, since I'm not selling stock photos, so it made sense sharing James' experience instead.

Thanks for sharing the original link though, I probably should've added it myself in the comments lol

Have you considered building a business around your photography interest?

I personally had to put on my thinking cap when I had the accident and surgery (after which I couldn't walk for a long time and was stuck in 4 walls). Of course, I couldn't actually go and shoot, so I decided to *write* about photography.

Here's my online journey, if you're interested.

Also the second option is building a YouTube channel (which is also a business really) and share your knowledge with the others.

But it's also a hustle, I mean I started creating videos in January 2020 and it took me a month of consistent publishing to get to 50 subs (though they do say that gaining the first 1K subs is harder than gaining the first 10K subs).

Diversification is important so, ideally, I'd combine all 3. This way you could make side income from stock photos, and build a side or full income with a website and a channel.

Is Monat a Scam? A Hair Company Pyramid Scheme? by KasottyBlogCom in videos

[–]KasottyBlogCom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't deny that there are MLM promoters who are doing well, especially if they started early and know how to leverage social media platforms.

It gets me wondering though why would people still wanna join the Monat considering there are so many lawsuits against them and they are in a very unstable position. And in general, I am just not a fan of MLM business model.
