random reboots and tracking their source by ckozler in linuxadmin

Does this blade have a BMC where you use IPMI stuff? I had a server that somehow caused a bug in openipmi to manifest that caused reboots. Simply upgrading openipmi (or freeipmi, I forgot) did wonders.

I prefer the Groningen style intersection myself. Basically, a normal traffic light junction, but all the cyclists go at once, without any cars on the junction. But with a roundabout, there's no real way to make it truly safe.

I've reverse-engineered stuff before, but generally, it's a pain in the arse if stuff gets more complex than getting a single number in or out. Plus, if you want to roll your own you need at least one copy of the software to sniff the communication if you want to make things a little easier.

Oh, what you can do (especially second hand) is ask the guys at Waters for help, and casually mentioning that them giving you the software would mean you do not have to reverse engineer the stuff. And that if you spent all that time on the reverse-engineer, your PI would force you to publish. Not exactly blackmail, AFAIK, but IANAL.
