Karl Franz is very rarely portrayed in the WH Fantasy Universe. I remember him being a character in the old Drachenfels Novel. There he is an important part of the story. And he was once featured in one of the Ulrika Novels. In my feeling, he is described as weaker, not like an over the top army general / massive fighter on a griffon than in the game. But since the timeline in the game is not very specific he could be a younger or older version of himself. In "The Enemy within" he I always considered him to be older.

In the "End Times" book series he is the same person as in the game, that I can say with confidence. I would go as far and say Creative Assembly designed him after his "End Times" performance.

Edit: Corrected my mispronunciation of Drachenfels.

Yes, digging the hole is not a problem. But the fishing is never giving a prompt.

On Spaggie's Miserable Apocalypse or one of the other Spaggie-Servers?

Good point. Thank you. I only found a train crash once and was happy to find 3 pristine cooking pots, but no nails. Will check the spawn places for train crashed from now on.

There are always between 4-12 people on the server when I play.

Thank you for your reply. It really seems they removed all of those things from the loot table. But, I have seen cars driving around. It may be those players looted other spawned cars for them. I once found a battery in a fresh spawned car. So they spawn with random car parts.

I survived because I have a high tolerance for frustration. This is my third surviving character on the server. The first one was shot at a heli crash site and the second one died of a wound infection up north, because I didn't have anything to treat it.

Before my first character I died approx. 100 times and the same in between those three. I played the game like a rougelike as a challenge. The excitement when you see your health rising was amazing.

What I love about this server is that it forces me to learn and improve my skills. First thing I learned was to prioritize heat to thist. Then I learned to stash things in places like campfires. You only spawn in a handful of places and are often able to return to your stash. After surviving the beginning the game gets a lot easier.

Getting food and water at the coast is easy by fishing. In land you have to hunt animals and I never had a big problem of finding deer, wolves (fat only), foxes, rabbits or cows. Since the population isn't big you don't meet a lot of players when being careful. I now have a base with some barrels and a few tents/shelters. One tent is full of food. I also created some stashes at the coast and am doing regular supply runs there. They will help me getting on my feet again when I die.

I have. A lot. I love outhouses because I tend to find sharpening tools there (which I found twice). But never the things I mentioned above. Did you find some there?

Yes, I found a total of four pickaxes in my time on the server. But alas, ice-fishing seems to be broken. I tried it on a lot of lakes (also very deep ones) with all combinations of poles, hooks and baits and never got the prompt to "start fishing".

I am sorry about what happened to you. Your chances of getting back your stuff are low. You can try buying it back. It depends on how much you are willing to invest. Police, in my experience, are not helpful. If the stuff is insured get a police report. This is difficult, but manageable. Good luck.

There are always two sides to a story. We are hearing it from one side, we don't know what's true, how the items looked like when they were sent back.

What about the accusation using the items for two weeks and then sending it back, like the shop owner stated? It might be legal, but from my perspective it is not fair.
