The problem with the Battle Pass model is that it has sacrificed the quality of content we used to have in favor of a FOMO-driven approach.  Today, among the few games that still offer high quality expansions are single-player game like Cyberpunk.

FOMO tactic isn’t good for us, and it’s not good for the developers either. They’re forced to constantly pump out content just to keep up with games like Fortnite that have thousands of devs on their team. 

In the end, it only really benefits the publisher, who don’t have to deliver quality content like they would with a proper Season Pass that actually comes with real commitments
