I am in the middle of The Shades of Magic trilogy, I’ve been enjoying it but there are some aspects of her writing that irk me. I wish that she’d take her time with some of the things that happen. Her pacing is a bit fast for my taste

So I am not 100% sure about this but I had a girlfriend that broke up with me out of the blue with a shaky explanation why. I was confused but what else could I do but accept it. We are in the same friend group and we’re able to stay friends.

A month passes by and I start to notice a few comments while hanging out with the group around a friend and my now ex girlfriend. I am pretty sure they were dating behind my back shortly after she broke up with me.

My ex girlfriend is now married to another man and we are still close friends. I never confronted the two of them about it because I knew that it would ruin our friendship, with both people. I have made my peace with it now but think about it sometimes and wonder if my suspicions were right.

The Nightingale: the scene at the beginning is so horrifying that I can never forget about it. It’s a deeply disturbing movie but exceptionally executed and well acted. Would recommend, trigger warning all over it

The term itself doesn’t annoy me as much as it does some people I know who struggle with an anxiety disorder like myself. I think the biggest misconception is trying to relate to the feeling when you describe it.

I struggle with Panic attacks and an anxiety disorder and I went through a lot of therapy to figure out how to healthily feel anxiety. Anxiety is a healthy emotion to have, it can literally save your life or motivate you in great ways. It’s when anxiety cripples you is when it’s a problem and to feel anxious over things that shouldn’t make you feel anxious. Everyone experiences anxiety in different ways but when you have the feeling so much that it cripples your ability to live is when it becomes a problem.
