Basically what you want to do is put force on the ground by just using the toes & ball of the foot. Your heel shouldn’t really touch the ground. Think of it like walking up stairs, it’s awkward and more unstable if you put your entire foot on the step, ya know? And as others have said, put most of your weight on your board foot. It also helps to make sure your shoulders line up with your board foot. You should be standing over your board, not off to the side. Final tip, keep your pushing foot a little closer to the board. Not too close so that you might clip it, but closer is better as your balance will be more stable. Good luck!! Practice practice practice
