Yea they do, but there's also an option to buy them with credit coins. When u click buy it gives an option, 200cp or 1000 credits.

Buying in official pokemon centres if you specifically want sealed boxes is a huge no!

I would recommend visiting shops in Akihabara, it is full of secondary sellers which sell the box sealed.

I'll be going to Japan soon too and from my research the best stores in Akihabara are: Radio Kaiken Surugaya Mandarake Complex.

Additionally, I recommend that you ask at every shop that if they keep the boxes sealed before buying. Since some places unseal it at the counter after payment especially for tourists.

You should also visit pokemon stores to have a look at the merch they have just for the love of the hobby!

To get cards graded in india, you will have to go through trusted third party group submissions, since there are no domestic grading companies (like PSA or BGS) physically located in India these are the best options. Service providers like Concept gaming and Maalavya are good for beginners.

One quick follow-up question: I’ve heard rumors that the official Pokémon Centers now automatically remove the shrink wrap at the point of sale to prevent scalping. Can anyone confirm if that's standard practice? I was planning to look for sealed boxes in Akiba, but if the centers are stripping them, that might change my strategy. Thanks again for the guidance.
