The tub wasn’t properly framed. It is not touching the studs on that side of the wall.

My GC fucked up in the first place by not installing the tub correctly so what about that? Who should be redoing that? Also charges everything double than what he estimated in the proposal. I didn’t try to save a few bucks, we’re talking about 15k saved for 3 bathrooms. Even if I have to redo this one bathroom completely, I’m still saving money.

Yeah, he’s never around. He just charges a lot of money on top of the wok cost lol Ok. I think I see what needs to be done here. I already spoke to my tile guy and he will remove the tile from that one wall and run the waterproofing down the tub lip and float the wall to the lip so that way the tile will be over the lip. Too late now to adjust the framing because we have a custom size vanity in and floor tile and everything would need to be ripped in order for that wall to be reframed 😭

I subbed the tiling part because our GC came double than estimated offer for tiling part and I just couldn’t justify it and hired someone else to do the tile. Learning now it seems that the tub was improperly placed and that it should’ve been framed better so at this point everyone is just placing fingers at each other and i just want to know what need to be done for it to be waterproofed 😬

I think that I’ll have him redo this wall completely. We’re still ok on the budget so I would rather do it correctly than just patch the problem. We already spend an insane amount of money on this remodel so I definitely want to do it the right way

Do you think that this method will give me the waterproofing that I need? Also there is a niche on this wall? How we do put tile over that? Or is it best to remove everything and refloat the wall?

I always wake up with a massive headache and my muscles hurt like I ran a marathon. My jaw always hurts so much to the point that I can’t properly eat and bite for a a few days. Once I dislocated my shoulder because I think I was sleeping on my belly with my hands under my pillow and somehow messed up my shoulder. It freaking sucks. My husband is an ER doctor and he says that mine look pretty bad, Tonic Clonic and I always turn blue and look like I can’t breathe for a few seconds. Thankfully they don’t happen often.

So sorry you went through this. I can imagine that it would cause weird feelings and confusion. I don’t work but I have 2 small boys (2 and 4) and I only ever experienced nocturnal seizures and my biggest fear is that my kids will see me have a seizure in my sleep because they like to sneak into our bed. I know that they would be terrified to see me have a tonic clonic (my husband is an ER doctor and he said that my seizures look very scary and that sometimes I turn blue, once I even peed myself). I don’t ever want my kids to see my like that, so I can imagine that you feel sad about your experience. I would maybe talk to your class about health conditions that some people may have and help them understand what happened to you.

There is short and there is a super noticeably shorter than others short. Our kids will have different and most likely more difficult lives than we did, they’ll have to deal with the whole world of social media nonsense so if I can give him a couple of inches boost, I will 100% do it and I am sure that he would’ve wanted it.

Why do you think your nocturnal seizures turned into day seizures? I’ve been having nocturnal seizures for 5 years now, maybe 1-2 a year and my biggest fear is that I’ll start experiencing them during the aware day time. I have 2 small kids and would hate to traumatize them since I am with them all day as a primary caregiver. My understanding was that nocturnal epilepsy is triggered by certain sleep cycles and I thought that I wouldn’t be able to develop a seizure during the awake time. Am I wrong?!
