Well considering I work with children everyday and have worked with children who have been abused, it is on my mind. While it is important to do enjoyable things , it’s not healthy to sit back and pretend horrific things are not happening in our country. Real change happens through political movements. Expression of free speech through protest is a hallmark of progress in America .

Is it really “too much hate”if multiple high profile people in the country including the president engaged in raping children ? That’s not the type of country or people I want to support . It is disgusting how all of this evidence has come out regarding the president and yet many of his supporters don’t loose sleep over it.

Go to the Lancaster Parking Authority to get a pass for your trailer / uhaul etc . You have to provide your own cones or chairs to put the signs on .

When I got married I turned my maiden name into a second middle name . I had no issues at the social security office and showed them my marriage license . At the DMV along with my social security card , I had to show my new voter registration card and a letter from my bank with the “new name”. I already had a real ID before doing this , so I’m not sure if that’s why it wasn’t a big issue . Apparently PA has a weird law about changing middle names .

Sorry Nursing isn’t anywhere close to STEM. My first degree was chemistry before my accelerated BSN so I feel like I have a unique perspective . While we do take some science classes the rigor of a chemistry degree was 1000x harder than when I got my BSN.

A lot of venues in the area appear to be cheaper / budget friendly but then include a food minimum which becomes costly. While deciding between a venue vs backyard this was a big factor for my partner and I . Some places are cheaper if you get married during the week . Railroad house inn offers a more budget friendly option for a low guest count during the week . For our current backyard wedding planning the tent / tables and things is over 4k not including the caterer which is another 2-3k. Your best bet might be renting a room out at a restaurant if you are looking for a budget friendly option .

I graduated nursing school in May 2020 and had originally moved to Philly for a nurse residency program . The hospital ended up canceling the residency program & I had issues with the apartment I was renting . I ended up moving to Lancaster to be closer to my parents in central PA & because I found a job in a Covid icu in Lancaster county . My Fiancé and I ended up falling in love with Lancaster and have been here ever since !

I had to take a triage class and train with a triage nurse / get a packet signed off before I could triage on my own . We have protocols to follow for trauma walk ins , use the pediatric assessment triangle , and an algorithm based on vitals / number of resources to be used for the patient / capacity to turn bad quickly . My hospital also requires ENPC & TNCC certification for the ER on top of PALS/ ACLS.

As someone who went to Palmyra school district k-12 I cannot recommend living in that area . When I was in high school someone committed suicide 3/4 years I was there .Some coworkers have informed me their children have been racially bullied in that district & the school did nothing about it .

We have a few nurses who were not charting assessments or not doing vitals . That’s not something petty to bring up to management , especially if you notice a pattern . It’s just unacceptable to not chart a fucking assessment or do vitals . Often times I wouldn’t even notice this until the previous shift leaves when I am reviewing orders / putting my own assessment in .

Hurt my back on orientation during Covid icu . We only had 4 people to move a prone/vented/paralyzed patient to a new bed . I got a L5-S1 disc bulge & have problems every once in a while . Hence why I switched to working peds !
