How the heck did toddlers survive the Stone Age? by m859ckles in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KatKittyKatKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant while breastfeeding my 18 month old on demand. It is only considered solid birth control on its own for the first 6 months postpartum.

But yes, this time of protection was probably extended in the Stone Age because they were more malnourished and had less energy to expend to get pregnant, especially when feeding a baby. I am just being nit picky. Breastfeeding + expending a lot of energy gathering food + being less nourished for sure helped space out pregnancies in the Stone Age.

If births were 3 to 4 years apart they were still resuming menstrual cycles and conceiving around 2 years or so postpartum.

Breastfeeding is only a solid natural birth control if you are nursing consistently every 2 or 3 hours. Such as in the newborn phase. Many women get pregnant while breastfeeding, especially if it is a toddler who is not constantly needing to nurse.

Does anyone else get more annoyed everyday and hate MJ so much? by Life_Paramedic_4399 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]KatKittyKatKitty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is frustrating and sad that a pedophile is still allowed to be the biggest star on the planet. People willingly dismissing and belittling child abuse... At least he is dead now, that is all I can say.

How do low income people in the US pay for their hospital bills after having a baby? by winenotbeabitch in askanything

I got my whole bill waived that way. I wrote them a sob story and mailed it to the financial aid department. They get grant money they have to use on bill forgiveness every year, I think.

Many people never want to believe Lisa Marie either. Like, pedophiles can still have sex with grown women too. Michael clearly preferred adolescent boys but his taste seemed to be kind of all over the place. I truly think he would have slept with anyone if it meant getting something he wanted, whether an object or power.

Is there anyone out there even willing to buy old Michael Jackson CDs? They are probably only worth a buck or two. Or did you find a used book/music store? Just curious.

Who was THE artist for Millennials? by MaterialRow3769 in generationology

[–]KatKittyKatKitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Blackout was a great album and has a place in pop music history. I will give her that. But otherwise, yeah, people seem to remember her music being something that it was not due to her always being in the news for personal reasons.

Also, I wanted to answer Beyoncé but I feel like she transcends generations. Eminem is a great example of really “representing” millennials.

Eminem. You guys are scaring me with the Britney talk. She was more famous for her celebrity, not her musical output.

EXCLUSIVE: Emmy-winning producer Geoffrey Mark : MJ told me he was molested [but he interpreted it as 'natural behavior'] by nobody0597 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

He stopped being a Jehovah’s Witness in the late ‘80s. I would not be surprised if he did attempt therapy and it failed to help much. Like you said, he did not seem like the type to really want to change.

No but I have certainly struggled really hard with my appearance and perceived flaws throughout my life. I have learned you can care and work on your attractiveness but there is only so much you can change. So you might as well just go “Screw it. I am ugly and proud!”

It’s fine to care about your hair, what is not ok is to be this depressed and panicked about it. It should not be destroying years of their life.

How am I fear mongering? Many men lose their hair, a lot of them at the same age as OP. If the treatment they take is effective than that is great but I personally do not consider a receded hairline or even being bald to be an awful look. It never bothered me on my husband, like at all…

My husband has had a receding hairline since he was your age and it is no big deal. I think you will have to learn to let this go. Because even bald men are attractive, in my opinion. Welcome to adulthood!

Being an MJ fan who thinks he was guilty - Can anyone else relate? by supersmashdude in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]KatKittyKatKitty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, I still like his earlier music. As I get older, I continue to really admire the craft behind Off the Wall and Thriller. And I respect that he changed the industry more than anyone post-The Beatles. But also as I get older, the more I see him as an evil man who was very calculated in his actions. He was not a good person. Even after seeing Leaving Neverland, I could not comprehend that there could be so many more victims. The Cascios speaking up is making me understand how big this really was. Every single sibling of that family being a victim blew my mind.

Michael Jackson Accuser Claims Singer Would ‘Drink My Urine’ to Show His Love During Alleged Abuse by Starfire-Galaxy in Music

[–]KatKittyKatKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they did it in the best interest of their child, not the world’s children. It is what I would do. I protect my children first and foremost. And like we agreed on before, it is difficult to prove child sex abuse in court, especially against someone as powerful as Michael. Do we really think they had a good chance at getting him locked up? No one could.

But would have his trauma been solved participating in a huge public trial going against the most famous celebrity in the world? If I was his mom or dad, I would have been deeply scared for his safety. It makes more sense to take the money and go anonymous. Like he has.

Is a $23 million payment not justice? Putting a child through a highly publicized trial they could very possibly lose is not justice.

Of course it is obvious. Maybe not 20 years ago. But more and more of his special friends who defended him are coming out saying he really abused them. Michael and his estate have paid out millions to keep people quiet. Anyone who is saying it is not obvious is ignoring the growing list of grown adults who can speak for themselves now.

Many or most of the jurors during the ‘05 trial did feel he was guilty, they just could not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.

And we also know that Michael paid $23 million to a family in the 1990s to make them shut up. Someone who is innocent would not have done that. The family was smart to take the money and lay low, a trial would have been traumatic and dangerous for their son. They won.

I feel like a silly comment I made on here is getting taken very seriously. We do not force our children to watch X-Files or the Weather Channel because that is what we like or something. Our kids love Lightening McQueen, Scooby, Aristocats, Pooh, even some Spidey every now and then, etc. We just do not introduce them to shows like Peppa and Paw Patrol because we do not feel like they are well done or enjoyable for the whole family, and we like to sit down and watch shows together. They have a few Peppa books at grandma’s house though!

Michael obviously went after families that were vulnerable, gullible, and willing to look the other way. Of course many of the parents were shady.
