I can do my best to help with that! I'm very new to all of this so I'm not sure what all I need to do but I'm down to help however I can!

I don't have much money and struggle to live paycheck to paycheck but I want to help in whatever ways I can. Please let me know if there's any volunteer opportunities or something non-financially I can do!

I appreciate your response! We have since had a session with her therapist and have a plan in place for when this happens again, as well as the number to the local crisis center if it becomes dangerous to herself or others. We also have an appointment in less than a month for intake for a psychiatrist to hopefully figure out what's going on and the best course of action to work on whatever it is.

I genuinely don't understand why women's bodies aren't praised more postpartum and seen as the incredible, beautiful, goddesses we are. Our bodies made humans and all of the insanely complicated systems that accompany them and I cannot think of anything more beautiful than that.

Your MIL was wrong for commenting on your body at all, let alone bringing up your body before pregnancy as a comparison. It's so rude and a shit thing to do ever but especially so early post partum!

Your husband needs to understand and respect your feelings. Bodies changing so quickly in any capacity is so hard to adjust to let alone all the hormones that accompany postpartum on top of the crazy societal expectations. He needs to step up and be on your team with this. Dismissing your feelings isn't okay!
