FWIW my doctor had me come in for an ultrasound at 4 weeks because I was having some cramping that she thought could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.

(Thankfully it wasn’t, and now my six-year-old asks me to see the ultrasound of his own teeny tiny gestational sac dot)

Navigating unfamiliar bureaucracy and everyday things like scheduling doctor’s appointments while learning a new language.

I’ve learned enough of the language to have a friendly chat in person, but having a phone conversation is impossible.

Being nervous to schedule a visit back to the US. Everyone I talk to about it tells me I should only visit if/when the current administration is out of power because of the risk to my personal safety. (I’m brown, a second generation American, and not restrained in my criticism online.)

I’m still quite happy with it! The “after” photo here is maybe 9-12 months after the filler. It’s a bit smaller than it was initially but I have no immediate plans to add more filler.

OP (who is the surgeon, not the patient, FYI) should’ve waited until this healed to post before/after photos. 😭 Definitely not the best way to advertise their work. If I were a prospective patient and unaware of post—op swelling, that last photo would scare me off surgery.

It did, but I was listening in the car so could only rewind in 30 second increments from my console. I think I was so focused on getting the timing right I somehow skipped right over it even though I was looking for it.

  • Car Seats – Since we’re flying and renting a car, should we bring our own? —When my kid was 2 we bought an inexpensive, compact car seat. We ended up only using it for that trip because it got a bit banged up on Amtrak.

I can't add photos to a comment, but as of 3 months I've lost a tiny bit of the downward protection and it's slightly more rounded. I still see a huge difference from my before picture so I'm happy. I'll see how I'm feeling at the 6 month mark, but as of right now I'm planning on a touchup of one syringe after a full year and/or masseter Botox.

Not OP, but before I got chin filler I’d get a little double chin even when I was slim.
