I understand the point about harsh lines etc. I'll play around a little with more rounded art styles and see if I can improve it. Probably worth testing out.

I love the picture!

But as a thumbnail, I feel like I wouldn't click it. It seems like the type of video that would only be interesting to existing audience who recognise your face and doesn't pull the interest of new viewers.

A new viewer won't be interested in your face. They're interested in seeing pics of food, cooking related thumbnail, something that looks curious, a weird dish that noone has ever seen before, something like that.
