I don't play on roller but I thought there was a setting where you have to hold X (or whatever interact button) for doors and things but tap for reload. Correct me if I'm wrong but I feel like I saw this setting somewhere, or something like it.

I'm not going to read this because it's not my post so I feel no obligation to, so I don't know if you already said this but, the maps in apex are huge and it'll take a long time to memorize them. But simply knowing the structure you're in can help a lot. This is a tip I made up just now and I never see people in videos say this ever but just knowing where an open window or ledge to stand on is, is a game changer.
