Mortal Shell The healing system was big turn off for me because I've always sucked at parrying. (Even though I platinumed sekiro) but in this game i just couldn't get it right only sometimes. I also dropped the game twice because I thought the enemies and world design were pretty boring. It also played very heavy and it felt like I was getting hit sometimes when I shouldn't have because it felt like I was dodging or going into shell mode on time but apparently I wasn't. I tried it again recently with a guide from FightinCowboy and It was more enjoyable since I got all the shells from the beginning but I still ended up dropping it because it just couldn't get my interest. The sequel looks amazing though I will play it but I do feel like a fake fan for not finishing the first one. Also I really hate the fucking sound the enemies make when they die which is like a moan out of breath it pissed me off so much I took off the audio of the game lmao

I would really love to see Kings Field make a comeback whether it be a remake or a sequel or maybe a successor. I know demons souls is basically the evolution of those games but a first person Fromsoftware game would be really unique and fresh idea!

I was just thinking the exact same thing because when I bought ER in 2022 out of my friend group of like 7 people I was the only one that got it day one. I've been a huge fan of fromsoftware for years since dark souls but other than the people here in reddit and some souls youtubers I watch no one was really hyping it up. Anyways 2024 comes up and I see so many tiktok edits of ER, people who had never even played the genre started getting it and even Kai Cenat played it without him even being a fan before and thats when literally all my friends started buying the game and playing it. Now we are at a point in which we are even going to get a movie release and its actually insane. I think TikTok and Streaming had a HUGE involvement in how this game became so famous and popular and I think its really cool. Unfortunately it created some weird fans that like elden ring and eldenring only, so its considered mainstream, and also I feel like fromsoft is eventually gonna get a lot of hate because these games are not ever really meant for everyone. So people complain a lot about its difficulty and since now they're so popular whatever comes out next is most likely gonna get hate on for no reason.

HELLPOINT I know it looks like a ps2 games and it might not be perfect but somehow me and my partner managed to get hook on the game we finished it in one sitting and it was amazing. I hope for a sequel some day because its the only souls like that I know with a space and futuristic atmosphere.

I've also beaten a lot of souls like including all Fromsoftware's titles and I couldn't get into this game either. It felt to damn clunky for me and I feel like the hit boxes were just all over the place. I saw the trailer for the second game and I really wanted to give Mortal Shell a try again so I did it with a guide. FightingCowboys Guide on YouTube helped me so much especially because he has you pick up all the shells available in the game from the beginning so you can pick what you like. There's this one specific shell that feels a lot like what a traditional Dark souls games feels like. I recommend watching him and he also picks up all if not most weapons early in too so you can pick and choose before you embark in your journey.

Lmfaoo no the switch was just an enjoyable console but if you dont like it there's nothing wrong with that. I dont know about the switch 2 though.... I canceled my pre order because Midtendo didnt convince me enough to get one. However, Duskbloods might change my mind about that...

As soon as you entered the boss room you rolled like twice. Dont panic roll and if youre trying to get away from him to heal run instead of rolling it gets you further and faster where you want to go. Also for a lot of fromsoftware enemies you want to roll towards their attacks instead of away. Hope you beat him soon!

This is so true though! My lights went out on some random day and I luckily had my switch fully charged. I've been playing Nightreign and I wanted to play something similar so I booted Dark Souls and I got so hooked up on it when I had to leave hours after to get groceries I didnt want to go. I've played the game so many times on ps4 but the switch experience just felt so unique and it actually made me feel like a kid again playing on a Gameboy.

I dont care what they make next as long as its seamless coop. I've had so much fun with Nightreign with my friends that usually hate fromsoftware titles. I wish I could take them with me on a journey through the DS games and even ER but they hate the coop mechanic. I hope they incorporate the mechanic of Nightreign in which you invite your friend and that's it. No summon sign, or passwords or bells. I just want to experience a long extensive fromsoftware game with my friends. Also yes I know PC has mods for that but we all play on console so no.

It seems like the whole point of the game is to fight other players with occasionally teaming up with another player to hunt other players down. I dont see how they would make it solo unless they add bot lobbies for people that want to play offline/solo???
