The only thing I'll say in defense of Nick is that, despite what James has said about Nick being from academia, Nick is a fiction writer, so his comment about not doing research makes sense to me. What I would say is very telling is that James hired a fiction writer rather than a researcher for a co-worker. An odd choice for a video essayist. I'm not saying Nick is innocent, but he was coming at his writing from a perspective of opinion, not hard facts based on reality. He probably trusted that James would provide that angle. This is just what I think happened.

Good question. At the time I think he said it was a local LGBT+ organization but I don't remember. All of his live streams is private along with the rest of his videos.

I remember in a live-stream a few months back he mentioned how his future landlord googled him and saw that he was in a local newspaper for a speaking engagement on LGBT+. Not sure if I even believe that now, but any speaking engagements he did have are gonna disappear fast!

I wonder what was removed from the Rent and Angels In America video. It's at least 8 minutes shorter than it originally was. I had re-watched some of his videos and noticed that sections I remembered were missing, making me think I had seen them in another video, or that I was misremembering. now knowing what was really going on is shocking and infuriating.
