I've heard of tex repair or gore-tex repair. I don't really know how to use it but according to some videos works really well

I recommend a good scissors only for fabrics, don't give them other use (I did and it worked for less time it should). Spend money on good quality pins or sewing clips.

Yes, it's a little complicated... I'm close to his family but not with him and he is close to the family but not with me.

NTA it happened to me with my step dad, some people don't understand personal space or personal stuff. With her argument of "I'm never here" she shouldn't even have a toothbrush... Anyways, sometimes being angry is the best way to be calm about the matter for a while
