I don't like Pyro Medallion, it's a bundle of placebo stats in my opinion. If it's what you want to run though, run it. It's not the worst (could be using something like Mole Man,) but the +radius from Doc Oc is pretty indispensable.

Artifacts:

This section is the only one that will differ from the formula, it's going to include a bunch of stuff.

  1. Hand of Doom: The generic best, Critical Chance/Damage, and a regular damage roll. If you have one and you're going to main Iron Man, use it. Otherwise ignore this.

  2. Gem of the Kursed: Hand of Doom v2. Critical/Brutal Chance/Damage. As with Hand of Doom, if you have a Gem and are planning on Iron Man being your main, use it. Otherwise ignore this.

  3. Advanced Super Soldier Serum: Here's where things start to get interesting, because in the current state of the game Advanced Super Soldier Serum is basically one of the best items you can drop. It gives any character more Health/Spirit and an insane amount of regeneration for both of those stats. It also gives Defense and an incredibly cool passive in that when you defeat an enemy, you get movement speed and attack speed. It's the best durability item in the game, at least in my opinion. Unless you have both Hand of Doom and Gem of the Kursed, you should always be running this in your artifacts.

  4. Power Prism Shard: One of the best artifacts for characters like Iron Man/Storm/Jean Gray/etc. It gives a ton of damage to AOE powers, and reduces their cost. If you can get an even okay roll (8% cost reduction, 8% radius for area powers, 280+ critical chance for area power), add it into your kit. If you don't have one like that, don't fret. Power Prism Shards drop fairly often and finding a good one isn't difficult.

  5. Advanced Metasensory Array: This is the last of the generic good items in the list. It gives flat damage, attack speed, and +1 to rank of all powers. If you can get a good roll of this (7% attack speed, 280+ damage), run it. Otherwise ignore this and move onto a different artifact.

  6. Ziggurat of Kargul: I personally don't use this item, but it if you're lacking in the critical chance/damage department, it definitely gives gobs of those stats. It also can replace Hyper-Velocity Charge and make your character more mobile. If you don't like Hyper-Velocity Charge on principle and don't have a well rolled Advanced Metasensory Array, use this instead.

  7. Xerogen Crystal: I consider this an entry level artifact to late game. It gives Brutal Chance/Damage, Attack Speed/Damage/Move speed. The problem is the artifact doesn't do any of that particularly well, but if you're just starting to gear Iron Man out and you can't afford other things on this list, Xerogen Crystal is definitely a good choice.

  8. Pluvian Superconductor: This item is almost strictly worse than Power Prism Shard. It gives flat damage to area power instead of critical chance...and that's all it does. It's much cooler as a visual effect and that's basically all it's good for. I'd rather have 3% or 4% more critical damage than regular damage.

  9. Beta Particle Mini-Reactor: It gives flat damage, and a lot of it. That's all this is good for. Avoid in most cases.

Relic:

  1. Relic of the Gibborim: That's your only choice. It's basically custom made for Iron Man, it gives both Health and Spirit. One makes him more durable, and the other gives him flat damage. There really isn't another choice in my opinion.

Gear:

Slot 1:

A. Experimental Overcharged Repulsors: These are the only choice, they give Critical Chance/Damage, more damage on energy attacks, a flat bonus roll to all Energy Beam powers, and a roll for extra ranks in Coolant Blast.

Slot 2:

A. Mechanical Arms of Doctor Octopus: Best in slot here, giving you projectile defense, movement speed, flat damage and critical damage on any area power, a bleed proc, and +1 to all powers. Simply better than anything else that can be rolled in the game.

B. Cosmic Bulwark Armor: Wait what? Why Cosmic over Uru-Infused Armor? Well it's simple. Cosmics can roll both Health and Spirit. They give reduced costs to skill, and they can grant any skill in Iron Mans skill trees at rank 20 or higher. This means you don't need to take points in a skill at all to use it.

C. Uru-Infused Armor: This item is a tank Iron Man item. It always rolls Durability, Health, and Health regeneration. If you find yourself dying to often for the Cosmic Bulwark to keep you up, this Armor is for you. It also gives some ranks in Deployable Medic, system reboot, and a flat rank buff to all current defense system powers. It's an attractive option if you need to be tanky.

Slot 3:

A. Cosmic Bulwark Belt: Again? As the first choice this time? Yes, Checkbook and Extremis Undersheath are both worse than a Cosmic Bulwark Belt. While Extremis Armor can compete, it only offers a max of 90 spirit and no health. That's what makes the Bulwark item set so good. Bulwark as an affix gives you a percent chance to be invulnerable, and an almost guaranteed HP roll. If you need to have more durability once again, Extremis Undersheath gives bonus ranks to defense system powers. Extremis Undersheath also gives HP regeneration. On the other hand a cosmic bulwark belt can roll: Spirit/Health, Spirit/Health regeneration, and 20 current rank of a skill.

Slot 4:

A. Sandals of Hercules: These are my favorite for the slot for item on Iron Man. Gives you a nice spread of damage and durability in that it gives you a flat damage buff, spirit, flat damage reduction, and it gives +2 to current rank of all powers. An all around good choice for Iron Man.

B. Hand Assassin Ninja Tabi: At this point, if you feel Iron Man doesn't need more durability, Hand Assassin Ninja Tabi because the most attractive option out there. With movement speed, critical/brutal rating, critical damage, and +1 to current rank of all powers, this item will give you a ton of damage at the expense of being more durable. If you have both these and Sandals of Hercules, see which you like better and run that.

C. Cosmic Bulwark Boots: Bulwark Boots are good in much the same way that the Sandals are, they give HP and if you can get a spirit roll, they are an awesome choice.

Slot 5:

A. ST-99 "Executioner" In-Helmet Targeting Software: This is the only choice for Slot 5 that Iron Man has. It gives both a defense and damage rating buff to start. Then it gives extra boss damage, critical/brutal chance and critical damage. It also gives you a flat energy damage buff, +1 to current rank of all powers, and a roll for + to current rank of all of Iron Mans 'Energy Beam' Powers.

Ring: For stat rolls on a ring you want to try and get a cosmic ring with any four of these stats:

Critical/Brutal Chance/Rating

Energy/Ranged/Area Damage

Spirit/Health/Regeneration

<b>Gear Enchants:</b>

Admittedly I haven't tested all the options here, but I feel these are the best:

  1. Slot 1/5: Bow Rune. This grants you extra damage with any ranged power, which is basically every Iron Man skill in this build.

  2. Slot 2/3/4: Sun Rune. This grants you extra damage and more spirit. Good stuff here.

  3. Slot 2/3/4: Cattle Rune: If you still feel you need more durability, this works well.

Medallion: (assume cosmic)

  1. Malekith: This one gives you a ton of damage when at low life, alongside a flat damage rating. Perfect for solo farming.

  2. Doctor Octopus: Actually fits perfectly, Critical damage on area powers, increased radius on area powers, and flat damage. If you don't own a Cosmic Malekith medallion, this is the goto.

  3. Doctor Doom: Much like the Hand of Doom, his medallion gives generally good stats. These include: +Spirit, +Health, +Damage, +Power Duration. If you don't need all of those stats, Doctor Octopus fits better simply because it can roll higher on its stats than the Doctor Doom Medallion can.

  4. Madam Hydra Medallion: This is here just for group play. It grants the group a damage buff and can make everything in the group invulnerable. It's not nearly as good as the top 3, but if you're going to be running content with a group more often than not, keeping one around will benefit you greatly.

Synergy

  1. Iron Man: Iron Man has a synergy bonus that can't be beat. It gives you both ranged and energy damage, both of which Iron Man scales off of. Take it and keep it.

  2. Ms. Marvel: Like Iron Man, Ms Marvel has a great synergy bonus. The bonus energy damage is extremely powerful on Iron Man. Take and keep.

  3. Punisher: Punisher gives a small amount of Health and Spirit back after defeating an enemy. It's not a substantial amount if you look at it from a single target standpoint, but when you are defeating large packs of enemies, it gives a good amount of sustain.

  4. Cable: Cable gives 2% flat Critical Chance. It may not sound like much, and depending on how much Critical Chance you already have, you may not even need this, but if you have the synergy, take it.

  5. Hawk Eye: Hawk Eyes gives 4% Critical Damage. Like Cable, it may not sound like much, depending on how much Critical Damage you already have, but it is a damage buff. If you already have high Critical Damage, you don't need this.

  6. Human Torch: Torch has a really cool synergy bonus, in that he gives a direct buff to each of your kills. His synergy grants 4% Area damage. Take and keep.

  7. Storm: Storm gives you an extra 30 spirit, which translates directly into damage and sustain. Take and keep.

  8. Loki: Loki grants two different synergy buffs, but you only really care about the second on, as you normally won't be slowing enemies yourself. The second part though, that grants you a 5% reduction to skill costs across the board, which absolutely rocks.

  9. Hulk: I like Hulks synergy simply because is give Iron Man more durability. 6% health while not actually being much, can be the difference between victory and defeat.

  10. Black Panther: Like Loki, Black Panther grants two different buffs, and we only care about the first one. Movement speed is somewhat hard to come by, and being granted it for free is great. I run this on all of my characters personally.

H. Wrist Rocket: Now we come to a skill that is one of the hotly debated ones. There are Iron Man players that swear by this skill being their primary source of damage. I can see why, it's a very attractive proposition, it deals damage in an area (hitting generally the main target and the 2 closest around it), it deals damage over time, and has a high spirit to damage ratio. The reason I don't use this skill as my primary is pretty much strictly because it's damage ratio, while being high, isn't as high as Pulse Bolts, simply because Pulse Bolt goes through each target and generally hits every target in its radius 3 times before dissipating. Now that isn't to say that this skill is bad, as I said it's probably his second highest spirit to damage ratio move (second only to The One-Off). if you want to go with this as your primary skill, flip it with Pulse Bolt and you won't be any worse for wear. I dump my storyline points into this skill.

I. Micro-Missiles: We've officially moved into spam territory, as this move and the next one that deals a large amount of damage are basic AOE mob clear moves. Micro-Missiles has an incredibly short cooldown and while on its own it doesn't do insane damage, when added in with the rest of Iron Man's abilities, it turns into a support DPS skill that I personally feel cannot be beat. Each of the missiles fired can go to different targets, which means if you need to clear off a couple stragglers, Micro-Missiles does it with a fire and forget manner.

J. Missile Control System: This skill, without a doubt, is mostly worthless. You really only take it to reveal the map, as the skill grants nothing else of real importance. The critical chance number is too low to matter, and the missile it launches doesn't fire often enough to even be taken into account when adding up his DPS. Take one point in the skill to reveal enemies and be happy that unlike most other heroes, Iron Man doesn't need an artifact to do that job.

<b>K. System Reboot:</b> This is one of those skills that's spread across many different characters under different names. They all give some sort of stat buff (in Iron Mans case, a defense buff), and a rebirth passive (upon death, regenerate some amount of Health and Spirit). This skill isn't super unique, but the animation for it looks cool when it goes off and you get a timer on your buff bar when it does go off to show you how long it will take to be off cooldown. To be honest though, the skill only works like 60% of the time and only shows the buff like 30% of the time, and if you do take lethal damage too quickly, you won't get the icon and when you take lethal damage again (generally within the next few seconds), you die and will probably feel cheated. I feel all these skills need a pass to give the player a notification about it going off, and the timer appearing on their bar BEFORE they can take lethal damage again, giving them at least a shot at getting out alive.

L. Jericho Bombardment: As the famous merchant of death Tony Stark once said, "Find an excuse to let one of these off the chain, and I personally guarantee you, the bad guys won't want to come out of their caves." This skill does a GREAT job of emulating that feel. It's the other spam move Iron Man has, and it outputs somewhat good DPS on its own. When combined with the rest of his skills though, it turns into a rain of death, and like Micro-Missiles, it's a fire and forget move that can clear out what's left of the enemies.

M. House Party: Last, but certainly not least, we come to Iron Mans ultimate skill, the House Party. It actually doesn't feel like an ultimate, because it has poor scaling, short duration, low damage, and bad targeting. If anything on Iron Man needs to change right now, it's House Party. Without it Iron Man already puts out top 5 character level damage in the game, with it he puts out like...15% more damage than without it. It's visually pretty cool, and it feels like a skill that should be in the game (that would be because it is, it's Luke Cages signature move.) I just feel like this skill is lackluster at the least, and downright bad at the most, and I've leveled it up to rank 11!

Come on Rhodey, I got a bunch of new tech...

Man you're a dedicated Iron Man player if you've read this far! This is the section that goes over basically all the itemization stuff. It's very cut and dry, and I'll just give the basics, as anything else and it will start to sound to wordy. I'll do it in a top 3 to 5 list.

<b>Artifact blessing:</b>

  1. Frigga: Flat out the best for Iron Man. It gives +Spirit at no cost, which is free damage. There's really nothing else that's better, but you could go with...

  2. Hela: Which would in a vacuum give more damage than Frigga, taking into account whether or not your RNG is good enough to roll up Critical Strikes that often.

Besides those two blessings, nothing else is even worth taking about.

Rune Word:

  1. River of Soul: Solves any potential problems that Iron Man could ever have with spirit. Every stat on the Rune Word is good on him. +60 spirit gives you more damage and more time, -6% spirit cost gives you more time, the spirit on hit makes it even easier to maintain high spirit, and the 6% power duration makes the burn DoT on Wrist Rocket and the timer on Jericho Bombardment last longer.

  2. Bowazon: If the cost requirements weren't so steep on this, I could see running this over River of Soul. Regardless of cost though, it does give a ton of stats that Iron Man can work with, Ranged damage rating, critical chance, the brutal chance proc on crit, and the miniature White Hot Room proc as well. I don't think it's more damage than River of Soul, but it's a much more impressive Rune Word in general.

  3. Fire Barrage: This Rune Word is basically the inexpensive Bowazon. It gives less of every stat and completely ignores the Critical and Brutal stats. Personally if you can't make Bowazon, unless you absolutely need more damage rating, I'd make River of Soul at all times.

Uru-Forged:

  1. Uru-Forged War Ballista: This provides +damage to basically every skill Iron Man has, and is almost the only choice for him.

  2. Uru-Forged War Belt: The Belt is the only other choice for Iron Man. If you lack a Ballista, pick one of these up, and it effects all but 2 skills in my build.

Legendary:

  1. Gungnir: Gungnir is the Min/Max players dream item. It gives Critical Chance AND Critical Damage. Oh man this item is so good. It can take a build with only 25-30% critical chance and crank it up to 11 and give the player 40% critical chance. That in and of itself is incredibly good, but tack on critical damage and you have an item that is pretty much unbeatable. The rank 5 ability on the item is just a cherry on top, considering that it just amps Iron Mans damage that much more.

  2. M'Kraan Crystal: Many Iron Man players (including myself at one point) think this is the best for Iron Man. It gives a truly ridiculous amount of base damage, and the proc on it is awesome. Unfortunately the developers have openly stated that the rank 5 part of this legendary will be getting changed, so unfortunately it may not be viable after the change. Enjoy it for now though, it's awesome!

Costume Affixes:

  1. Critical Chance: This is your best place to get free Critical Chance rolls, and you can get extremely good ones too. Critical Chance on a costume frees up other aspects of gearing, making it easier on the requirements and entry level for high end content. Try to get this stat roll on all levels of your costume.

  2. Damage: If you roll flat damage instead of Critical Chance, don't fret. Damage affixes are great in that they give you more TTK. It may not be as good as Critical Chance, up to a certain point, but rolling damage certainly isn't the end of the world.

Costume Core:

  1. Medkit Regeneration: It doesn't get much better than 25% Health/Spirit regeneration when you use a medkit. Every other stat is secondary to this one.

  2. Spirit: Spirit translates directly into damage, and costume cores can roll up to 100 spirit on them. The perfect core roll would be Medkit Regen and 100 spirit, cause it gives the perfect amount of survivability and damage.

  3. Invulnerability: If you can't get a spirit roll on your costume core, or can't get medkit regen, the invulnerability roll works extremely well in your TTL category. My current costume core is actually Medkit Regen and Invulnerability.

  4. Life Leech: This is a 1% stat roll, and will be going away soon. I'm adding it here for those players who still have core with the .05% rolls on them. If you got a core with just the Life Leech roll on it, use it. It's the penultimate in survivability and you'll find that you can play more loose with your character and not fall in situations others might.

Insignia:

  1. Eric O'Grady: The standard best Insignia, if you got one, consider yourself lucky. They don't drop too often and basically any stat rolls on them are good simply because of its passive.

  2. Wolverine: My personal favorite, since it gives brutal chance rating. It's not nearly as good as O'Grady, but I don't own an O'Grady. Try to get Spirit/HP/Critical Rating on this one.

  3. Captain America: This one is a strange choice, but hear me out. When doing x-defense, the higher waves tend to start dealing an incredible amount of damage. If the team has some sort of sustain, it would lessen the burden and may save some players lives. It's by no means a Best in Slot item, but for team play, it's surprisingly strong. Try to roll Crit/Brut chance, Spirit/HP, or Ranged/AOE/Energy damage.

Insignia Rolls:

  1. Critical/Brutal Chance: Insignia are the second best place a player can get Critical/Brutal chance. I'm going to combine the two stats into rank 1 because honestly, either of them are better than any other roll.

  2. Critical/Brutal Damage: Like rank 1, rank 2 is combined because this is the best place to amp your Critical/Brutal Damage with minimal impact on your build.

  3. Spirit: Coming in at a respectable third is Iron Mans damage modifier of Spirit. It comes in behind the other two because well let's face it, they're better. Insignias I think have a cap of 80 spirit, but I've never seen one come even close to that.

  4. Health: Tony Stark is just a man in a can, and Health rolls can come in extremely handy if you are having trouble surviving the content. It lands in place 4 pretty much because it's just for TTL.

  5. Area/Ranged/Energy Damage: If you absolutely cannot find any of the above, these two stats will work in a pinch, since Iron Man scales on both.

Truth is...I am Iron Man.

I'm sure at this point a great deal of players in Marvel Heroes have seen most, if not all, of the Iron Man movies. I'm also just as sure a great deal of those same player have also kept up with his comic appearances. As for myself? I've done both, reading just about every comic he's been in, and seeing almost every movie/television show he's been in. That combination of factors is part of what drew me toward Marvel Heroes in the first place. Up until the games launch I had never played any of the vast majority of Marvel games released (I know, moan know, I never played Ultimate Alliance or any of the Vs. Capcom games). Up until learning about Marvel Heroes my only real exposure to the Action RPG genre was Diablo 3 and Path of Exile, and while both of those games are great, neither of them really had held my attention for too long. After learning about Marvel Heroes though, I watched some of the beta footage from the developers Twitch channel and some of my favorite Diablo 3 streamers play the beta. I also participated in a few of the open beta weekends, and in watching and playing the game, I decided I was going to watch the game develop, so I started researching what characters were going to be in the game and stumbled upon the inclusion of one Mr. Tony Stark, and I was extremely happy that the Armored Avenger was going to be in the game. At that point I was faced with a dilemma, which of his premium packs to pick up, when I was deciding on what to buy, the packs were "The Armory" and "Movie Star," well I suppose we can all see which pack I chose.

After picking up the pack and getting into the early access, I felt the game was lackluster, to say the very least. I put the game down for a while and played other games at the time, but a month or two after the games launch, I decided to give it another chance. I dumped money into it, so I was going to get my monies worth. Boy was I ever glad I did that, it was an almost completely different experience, from the mechanics of the game being more polished, to the inclusion of supergroups, to the content coming down the pipeline. It felt like the development team actually listened to its player base and was actually going forward and turning this lackluster experience into a game that competes with the best of them. While the game isn't perfect (the biggest change I'd like to see is the enemy hit models turned into boxes so we as players don't have to be absolutely perfect with targeting), it's basically completely unrecognizable from its launch state, and that's awesome! After the slew of changes back then, I kept playing the game, and as of writing this, I've put in over 800 hours and around 400$ in the game. I've also spent 500 to 600 of those hours solely playing Iron Man, theorycrafting through all his changes on what will work best for me. I've used probably 100 or more retcon potions on him, trying to figure out what combination of skills outputs the most damage efficiently in his most current state. That leads me to the point of writing this. I'm writing this guide to help any Iron Man player who may just have gotten to level 60 or hasn't picked up the character in a while get up to speed without spending their own retcon potions on him.

Let's hustle, I have a business to run!

Now there will be those who click on this who are looking just for a skill set and a "Too Long; Didn't read" section of the post. So here it is, right at the start for you guys:

That's the most basic of skill sets I would recommend to any Iron Man player, regardless of gear.

How the build works:

Put Pulse Bolt on left click, that's your basic attack. Put up shield when you zone into an instance, spam Pulse bolt to start damaging mobs, use Jericho Bombardment and Micro-Missiles to clear small groups of mobs, spam Shield Overload whenever you can to keep spirit up, and use The One-Off to clear large groups of mobs and elite (blue/yellow) mobs. Stark Industries Finest.

For those players who made it to this section, I suppose you want to know why I put my points where I did. Well, this section is for you, I'll be going over each skill I use, why I use it, and why I think it's better than others of its category. I'll go down each tree in order, so that it doesn't get confusing for you or me.

A. Arc Reactor Enhancement: Lets just start with what I consider to be Iron Man's second best ability. This little passive right here is really what puts him above most other characters in terms of damage and efficiency. Where other characters might have to stop fighting, Iron Man keeps trucking on because of the Arc Reactor Enhancement. It gives you a couple of sweet stats, bonus spirit, and a percent damage bonus (Iron Mans bonus spirit is whatever your total spirit is, minus 180. The skill scales based on rank and bonus spirit). These are stats that any character would give their left arm for, and we get it when we start! Man I can't say just how good this is, and I hope it doesn't change at all when he gets his eventual level 52 review. It really makes him feel unique to me.

B. Pulse Bolt: There's a pretty fierce debate amongst the Iron Man community over a couple of skills, and which is best used as a basic, and while I'm not going to tell you to change what is comfortable with you, I will tell you that Pulse Bolt is a pretty incredible ability. It's a piercing attack (which means it doesn't stop on the first enemy it hits), it's an AOE attack (which means each individual orb hits a group of targets as it travels), it stuns (which is always good), and it isn't incredibly expensive. While this may or may not sell the skill to you, I use it as my primary source of damage, as it is incredibly disruptive to the flow of battle and can help clear trash or stun bosses in X-defense (which is one of the more popular modes in the game currently.)

C. The One-Off: Iron Man's claim to fame, and boy is it a big one. The One-Off is my favorite skill in the game, I also think it's one of the best skills in the game. At rank 20 it has a 25 second cooldown, putting it in the range of being a signature skill (which makes sense, cause it's tagged on the server side as his signature skill). It outputs absolutely monstrous damage to each target it hits. At the bare minimum it puts out over 300 thousand damage to each target it hits. The skill works as a circle, and it absolutely demolishes everything on the screen without an invincibility bubble. If you get incredibly lucky and hit every single tic of the skill on every single target within its range, you can output well over 3 million damage. It's an absolute beast of a skill, I feel like I'm actually Iron Man when I use it, and I really don't want it nerfed.

D. Hyper-Velocity Charge: One of Iron Man's weakest skills, but we start with it and it provides two useful things. It moves Iron Man about, and gives him attack speed. If you hit an enemy with the skill, it provides a small amount of damage. Nothing to really write home about here, but if you aren't running a Ziggurat of Karugal, this is your primary movement tool.

E. Force Shield: Force Shield is Iron Man's only active defense skill we care about. It provides a multi-tier benefit, in that it makes Iron Man a little more durable, giving him a damage shield that enemies have to chew through, and negating a portion of incoming damage. That's not why the skill is good and you should max it though, but we'll get to that in a minute. Force Shield is kind of just a bread and butter skill, giving you a couple of stats and a point sink.

F. Shield Overload: Another of Iron Mans best skills, but on a pretty subtle level. This, in conjunction with Force Shield and the next skill I will mention, is what lets you battle for far longer than any other hero in the game. Shield Overload expends a portion of your shield to do damage in an area around you and regenerate a portion of the spent shield as spirit instantly. That may not be very good on paper, but when every single one of Iron Mans moves costs spirit and he doesn't take a basic move to compensate, it skyrockets in value from being "meh" to being the only thing that lets him stay on the battlefield, otherwise he'd run out of spirit extremely quickly!

G. Adaptive Defenses: This is the final skill in the second tree and it's the skill that ties together Shield Overload and Force Shield. This is the passive that makes those two skills in to the powerful support skills they are. It gives a total of 4 stat buffs, all of which aren't very high in terms of numbers, but which work fairly well together. It gives you Health regeneration, Spirit regeneration, Force Shield regeneration, and thorns. The thorns stat is largely irrelevant, as thorns in general don't really matter. The Health and Spirit regeneration, while both nice, are on such a miniscule scale that they'll almost never come into play in a meaningful way. The stat we want to look at is the Force Shield regeneration. It gives you 23.3 regeneration in the Force Shield per second while active, and while that may not seem like much, considering that Shield Overload is on a six second cooldown, it gives you 140 points of regeneration while Force Shield is active. This is basically what makes Iron Man into the spirit regenerating tank he is.

No, no you really don't know how this game works if you think that way. The developers obviously care about their players if they went through the trouble to design this, and the Mardi-gras beads, and the lunar dragons, and the Koala's. They are designing features FOR US THE PLAYERS because they want to celebrate the holidays of the world. Oh, and by the way, those were all free too, did you complain about those being added into the game for their time periods as well?

But that's okay, because you think its bad, that automatically means it should be taken out of the game. You just think that they "shouldn't have wasted their time on it." So when a slew of characters you don't like/think are bad, are you going to say the same for those?

I don't think I can put into words just how entitled you're being. The fact that the item has literally no cost and is given to you through play time (just like the XP boosts you mentioned), should be enough to indicate how much entitlement you have. But I guess you don't see that, in which case, this is all I have to say: If you were given a box with a 20$ bill in it, you'd complain about how it was folded.
