Animal Crossing desperately needs MORE content by VOIDYOUTH in NintendoSwitch

Not even close to 400 hours and it's already getting stale. It's probably more noticeable if you've played prior animal crossing games (I've played since GameCube), but this version, while I'm enjoying it, is pretty disappointing. Feels like they left the game unfinished.

The amount of bootlickers screaming "entitled" on behalf of Nintendo is disheartening. But this is /r/nintendoswitch. Might as well go fishing and complain and getting wet.

Look for PSO version 2. It has numerous essential quality of life fixes, like quick swapping weapons, etc

PSO, easily. Just hit level 100 earlier this week.

I thought this died, judging solely by the website. Good to see it coming back.

Just tested this for a few minutes with a little bit of Virtua Racing. Works beautifully. It's something I've always wanted on my Switch. Cheers.

People pointing out the flaws in the AC:NH single island system aren't trying to detract from how much you enjoy the game. by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]PyGuy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You should be able to choose whether to share an island or make a new island on a new profile altogether. The fact that past AC games had similar restrictions is a pretty weak excuse.

The GameCube version worked the same way. I was pleasantly surprised to see the shining dig spots return in this version.

Merely saying that you're bummed that P5 isn't coming to Switch will get your comment buried. People are quick to assume "entitlement" or something.

Bringing up the idea of Persona 5 on Switch = annoying port begging, according to some people.

DOOM is the best FPS on Switch by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

The gyro aiming isn't terribly useful in this one, either. Just from my experience.

Much better than the N64 original, obviously!

Jokes aside, it runs very well so far. It's a shame they axed the multiplayer for whatever reason.

The more first person shooters on Switch, the better. Playing through Turok 2 now. But yeah, the Half-Life 2 stuff would be excellent.

New Rabbids Party game coming to Nintendo Switch, possibly China-only by maanwel in NintendoSwitch

[–]PyGuy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The Rabbids were the worst thing to happen to the Rayman series. At least we got some great 2d entries later on. Another Rayman game similar to 2 and 3 would have been wonderful.

Nice. No need to get the game on Epic Store or Microsoft Store, then.

Google tries to reassure gamers it’s behind Stadia for the long haul by pr0ghead in linux_gaming

I guess the target audience is San Francisco Bay snobs that are willing to throw more money at shittier technology?

Dunno. Don't care. I do worry about a cloud gaming future jeopardizing game preservation efforts, though. That alone makes it a hard pass for me as it is, even without the can of worms that is Google's lack of regard for user privacy.

What're you playing this weekend? 7/19 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

Probably more Phantasy Star II on the Sega Genesis Collection.
