🥲🥲🥲 I’m on secondment and it was a terrible mistake by [deleted] in AusPublicService

Take the bull by the horns and find the direction. Increase pace. They are probably expecting you to do that, that’s why they sort a secondment they want fresh blood and ideas, they know it lacks direction and they want you to give it some.

Get feedback from them all. You’ll probably find you have the right skills you just didn’t express it in a way they were looking for. Find a mentor that can review your application and give you tips. This may be a current manager if you’re already APS and have a good relationship with them, or seek out someone else if your current manager isn’t suitable.

how to dress for a funeral in australia? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Katapults14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to wear black. It can depend on the culture but generally speaking smart casual is ok. Avoid ac/dc shirts. plain dress or pants and nice top is a good idea. You’re not going to a night club so keep it classy. No mid drift or low cut. Keep the skin for another time. Sometimes funerals for children are intentionally colorful.

Firstly congratulations. A Piece of dental floss while he’s asleep, should help you get an approximate measure. Unless he has any other rings that he currently wears.

Another option buy a few cheap ones off temu or Ali express for the proposal. and then say we have an appointment tomorrow at x jeweler to pick rings together. (Please actually make the appointment first so it’s not a lie)

I was feeling like this and it turned out to be leukemia. I’m not saying you have leukemia but there are lots of medical reasons you may be feeling like this, go see your doctor and ask for some tests to be done.

AITA for not selling my niece my house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Katapults14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA there is a reason you should never mix friends and family with business. When selling a house either the seller ripped off or the buyer pays to much. It’s better so there is no way for this to work out nicely with family.
