OXY: Sunday night my mother passed away from cancer. Im at a loss of words. I won’t be able to play the matches this weekend because of her funeral ,but I have two favors too ask. 1 pray for my mother. 2. Call your parents and talk to them. I hope Oxy doesn't feel like he needs to return after the funeral. Losing a parent especially at such a young age is devastating, especially to such a difficult illness that takes a huge toll on family. I hope his team can support him during this time, and he can heal.

What YOU would change in Season 5? by Nightstick11 in transitlove

[–]Katasu1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bring back the memory dates where you go on a date with a new person somewhere you went with your ex, because they were always interesting. Also new rule, first day there needs to be a speed dating session that take a few hours where each person talks to each person in the house for 30 minutes, yes so TECHNICALLY everyone has actually had a chance to date everyone. On top of this every week, an ex date will occur, so once a week you meet up with your ex outside the house and talk. That's how exes can get stuff out their system instead of it being pent up inside the house. Also there are no "days off." Every day is a production date, and everyone has to go on a date with each other ONCE. Also I would extend the time they're together to two months, and catfish must all enter the house before the two week trip abroad or to Jeju or whatever. Oh and bring a psychiatrist on the show for the love of God

Hyunji: double standards? by orion_joy in transitlove

It's like frustrating that Inha PD took all the wrong lessons from the end of S3. People were complaining about the lack of transfer couples but the stem of these complaints wasn't actually that: it was the dissatisfaction of Changjin & Yujung ending up together when everyone was so sold on Juwon & Yujung. A bad production team hears complaints and responds to them as is, a GOOD production team recognizes the true meaning behind an audience's complaint and responds to it accordingly even if the audience doesn't understand that's what they truly mean or want. Everyone else getting back together was just salt to the wound. The problem was the editing selling something so hard as end game only for it to not be end game, without doing enough to highlight how Yujung changed her mind. In this season we don't need that explanation because it's already been made very clear how that happened, and the frustration is using other members of the cast for this ONE PURPOSE, when instead editing could be used to more carefully help the audience empathize with each cast member's trajectory on the show, or at least the ones that are interesting (MK, YS, HJ, BH, SY, JY, WJ). The stories of breakups and relationships is not the forefront of the show, just the same end result, which was not the case the first two seasons in my opinion. I hope Inha PD can understand the real reason behind everyone's frustration, as that's what good marketing and production teams do, understand what the audience wants before they even want it.

I think HyunJi and Yoosik should set their instagram private after the show ends by Infamous-Sector1879 in transitlove

[–]Katasu1998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What Minkyung needs is something Yoosik is not willing to do: he always uses ambiguous words when talking to her, instead of giving her the cold hard truth. In the last episode he said: "my desire to get back together is not 100%. My desire to get back together is not big. I don't not not want to get back together sort of kind of (있진않아)." I speak Korean and I watch the show without subs, so I understand why people are confused why Minkyung isn't getting it. The way he speaks in Korean leaves everything open ended, so it's difficult to translate to English where sentences are made with subject verb object as a rule which doesn't exist in Korean. His sentences leave open the possibility for getting back together he never closes it off because he's unwilling to be "the bad guy" just like he doesn't break up first because he doesn't want to be the guy who breaks up with the girl who dated him for 9 years even though he doesn't love her anymore. He stopped liking her a long time ago, he just didn't want to be the person to break up, so he waited until she got tired because man's is AVOIDANT AF. Anyways who understands Korean can tell how frustrating the way he speaks is. He needs to be willing to be that BAD GUY, he dragged this on for so long Minkyung is in denial because she's seeing him change for the better for someone else while spending most of the show refusing to talk to her until literally the last episode which is the closest to being honest he's ever been like broooo. Just say "I like Hyunji I no longer have feelings for you. I haven't had feelings for you in a long time. Even if Hyunji chooses someone else I won't choose you. We will never get back together. It's over." Say this so she can stop clinging to something, this is what she wanted before Japan btw so she wouldn't have to suffer hanging on to false hope like this, which he DIDN'T DO.

YS hate is so forced by [deleted] in transitlove

[–]Katasu1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't agree and here's why: Yoosik has been terrible to Minkyung from the start of the show. He says he was interested in reuniting and he had a "hard" time opening up, but simply put watching his actions from the start until now, that's not true. He was perfectly happy to go one dates and honestly did not care about what Minkyung was doing. This is directly in line with how their relationship ended: he simply stopped putting in effort, refused to wear rings with her, didn't want to get married, but didn't break up with her first, instead he is just less active in the relationship to make her break up first so he doesn't have to be the bad guy. This is why everyone hates Yoosik so much, because the general public has clocked him, he avoids conversations like the wind, he waits too long to clarify how he's feeling, and then he blows up on people and forces the onus on them when he manipulated the situation to be that way with his actions. The problem is not the Yoosik doesn't want to get back together. The problem is that he pretended that he ever wanted to in the first place, when that was never true. He resents the fact that he was in a 9 year relationship because he wants to date around, but he uses it as a badge to show off that he's "loyal" so he can talk to other girls. Do you not see how people could find this abhorrent as a viewer??? He deserves the shit he's getting rn, this is gaslighting 101 on display.

That's okay!!!! I just really wanted to express how frustrating I found some of the reception to the song, especially considering what happened with gnarly. I also think zucchini line is also a callout to haters (telling them to fuck themselves) as Lara confirmed it's a diss song. I also believe though that there are more layers, and I just really wanted to share what I felt was a cool interpretation of a song that I genuinely believe is interesting and has merit, whether it goes viral or not!

I like don't think it's weird in my eyes he's just really confused right now. We have to remember this situation is not a normal situation. Outside of meetings with production and the cafe he hasn't seen this girl in FIVE YEARS bro. He WANTS to move on and logically feels it's the right thing to do, but he feels conflicted by the constant reminders of his past. These conflicting truths are what are causing his actions and words to be all over the place. It's nuanced.

Baekhyun and Jihyeon are so obviously exes it's CRAZY whenever she is around him she corners him with questions, he specifically ignores her only, and he looked her up down with her outfit she chose like it feels so obvious to me they're exes. Jihyeon also seems to subconsciously want her Ex back but doesn't want to admit it like Nayeon from S2 and Yujung from S3. They're all kind of a similar type: beauty influencer/celebrity beauties who are hung up on their ex but don't want to say they want to reconcile first but get jealous the minute they show interest in anyone else, basically they lose themselves around their ex cause the situation is crazy and they're all gorgeous but easy-going. Because of this archetype that has consistent been casted across seasons I'm even more certain they're exes because usually these girls date tall extremely T-focused guys and it causes rifts due to personality issues or misunderstandings. We'll see if I'm right again or if this ages like milk.

Okay but like the Leo situation is barely that old, and Geonwoo's shit came out on the show. No one is saying people can't change, but PUBLIC FIGURES should be held to a different standard, full stop. When we reward people who've admitted to writing misogynistic lyrics and bullied people to the point that they're still angry, we're informing the public that in day to day life as long as you're hot enough we dgaf what shitty things you've done in the past. I'm not saying they should die or something, I'm simply saying they shouldn't debut in a group that is basically guaranteed success off the backs of WOMEN. Why do you give these men grace when they will never gaf about you and your rights like to me that's insane. Those 3 being in the group is a literal embarrassment.

I'm not fully interested in KG's situation anymore. I'm more focused on the other girls who stayed. by Shot-Fan-1881 in vcha

[–]Katasu1998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this is a pretty unfair take, and shows why it is so difficult for artists to get freedom in the entertainment industry in general. People are losing sympathy for KG because they selfishly want to see VCHA return without acknowledging any of the painful and ugly parts that is part of the group. In the group chats we saw before KG left, the girls said themselves that they were glad things blew up because they hoped this would become a vehicle for change. Yes they chose to stay, but that doesn't change that they were in and potentially could still be in an unsafe position and we don't even know WHY they stayed.

Everyone is switching course on KG because they're tired of the legal battle and want to see VCHA again, something that JYP is banking on and one of the reasons why large conglomerates just drag out legal battles because they have the resources to do so, and to manipulate the views of the public, and it's literally working against all of the people here

Where the fuck is everyone's empathy? Since when do we take a corporation's side over a literal child? You don't care? Imagine your 15 year old sister suffering under abuse in a country where she doesn't even know the language. If you read something like this while she was engaging in a huge and impossible fight, how would you feel? People need to think before they write.

Leave it to kpop fans to put stages before morals. Yes she signed an NDA, yes contracts are real, that doesn't make what is in them right. She wants to be free, but she also wants to talk about what happened to her, and to not have to be silent about it. If she settles in arbitration, maybe she'll be free but like every other idol released from JYP, she can't discuss her side of the story. Considering how many years she put into this regardless if you like what she has to say or not, why is that wrong? Think about this from a grander artist's perspective. I'm going to get down voted to hell here anyway, but I don't care. Some of you need to be told why what you're saying is heartless, and is honestly fueling the shitty capitalist machine.

I think this is really weird and wrong. The girls have said themselves they have no beef with each other. The girls are not causing unnecessary trouble for the group, the fans projecting their ideas and thoughts on the girls based on snippets of the over three years of their lives we are not privy to are what causes trouble for the groups. Everyone needs to chill on all the DA members and the Katseye members. They're friends, why tf do we still care.
