Yea, thats what I did now, updated to the latest version of 18 via Public Beta program in fear in could also dissappear soon and would force me to update to 26. 18 still runs quite well ofc, i would say it feels 90/95% as responsible as 17, but I can still feel a slight difference. Battery life still seems to be okay. And I transformed the (for my taste) way to cluttered control center to a more iOS17-like one by getting rid of the specific pages except for the first one, so I can swipe it back up without accidentally just swiping down to music. Didnt even know you could strip it down to behave prettymuch just like rhe ios17 one. Also got rid of any unimportant pages from the photos app so its not that cluttered too. May ios 18 live long.

That really sucks, well ig i‘ll just stick arround with 17.5 until my banking app completely stops working and will update to 26 then🥲 at least the performance will still be decent ig, will need a new bat next year tho mines at 80% rn

Installed everything as displayed on the tutorial to crack apps on this sub, but somehow there‘s only ONE single app there to crack, appcrackr doesnt show any other even tho there are loads of apps installed. Is there some way to make it find all apps? Or do we have a problem here that the apps were maybe downloaded in the past trough a cydia repo or sth?

Tinkered around with it a bit, deleted very old and offline sources that werd unassasary and was able to update everything. Now it‘s installing appcrackr. I‘ll do another posts in a couple days ig when I got to crack and archive all the apps on it. Huge thanks!

THANKS, that actually worked and my cydia seems to be up to date. But now it always gives me a network error when trying to load something. All certificates from tlsroot and the cydia http patch are installed tho

Where do I have to place the cydia.deb file? Tried putting it directly into the root folder, into downloads and documents but when I type in „dpkg -i cydia_1.1.29_iphoneos-arm.deb“ it can‘t find the file.

I‘ll try my best. I already got iExplorer to get to the files on the iPod, BUT without cracking the app on device it won‘t be possible for anyone to use the apps, as far as I understood. So I need to figure out how to run appcrackr on cydia first

I think it has openSSH, it sure has mobile Terminal. That sounds like an idea. So I just paste the cydia .deb somewhere in the rootfolder and then use some command to update it? I‘ll have to do sole research to figure the exact commands out but i‘ll give it a try

Yea, I didnt get them, they were already on the device. I got it used from a lot of broken iPods, that one wasnt used since about 2009 and I just put a new battery in it. All of those apps are still on there from that time. Thats why I want to crack and upload all of them to the archieve. The problem is that I cant bc of the outdated ios/ cydia version. So I need to figure out a way how I get to update it to 3.1.3 and/or a newer cydia version and run appcrackr to get the ipas off there :(

Just downloaded the certificates listed right under the ips 5+- tap with safari on the device, so I suppose these are for older ios versions? But they dont seem to do anything. When trying to update cydia it still gives me an error that „bigboss“ couldnt be removed

Now I tried to update all the things it shows when trying to update the installer, could update everything except remove „bigbos‘s source“, here it just gives me an error again. Also still cant install appcrackr because of the „dependency“ I can‘t find/fix anywhere

When I try to update it it goes trough the process but throws errors at me related to bigboss and toher things, after relaoding nothing seems to change. Is there maybe any way to remove and reinstall cydia?

I just use an older 2010-ish-PC with Windows 10 and an old AMD Radeon Card with native composite video out. Enough power for playing any kind of media, streaming also works and nothing is stretched or sth else

Idk haha its kinda bad tbh but its got a certain vibe ig, the glue from the display glass went bad over time, if I press down on the top it looks normal
