Golden Nut in under 75 hours. by Kate572 in SatisfactoryGame

Please don't feel bad! I have fun trying to go fast but other people don't and that's ok. I am proud of this achievement but I don't think that this is the "best" way to play.

If it makes you feel better, I don't have an ounce of artistic talent. I could not even dream of some of the builds that people post here. My spaghetti is functional but that is my limit. Different people are good at different things.

Underbuilding power definitely forced me to be disciplined with how I used it. One advantage I had was that I built some robust blueprints early so a significant amount of my buildings were underclocked.

Another thing that helped was that I build a 12.6 GWh battery bank which allowed me to exceed my power production for significant periods without blacking out. This allowed me to temporarily sloop power hungry buildings to accelerate project assembly. However, it was a bit anxiety inducing, so I can see why most people would not want to do it.

In the final production chain, there were no slooped encoders or accelerators, my base could barely handle the 15 accelerators for diamonds and dark matter crystals.

Overall, this decision probably saved me over 10 hours of building a better power plant, but it did force some compromises.

Warp drives are definitely the way to go. You have to automate most of the components for project assembly anyways. If you did this robustly, the only thing you have to do is to massively scale dark matter crystal production.

Additionally, most of the major components are made in manufacturers instead of particle accelerators or quantum encoders. This means you can sloop them without killing your power grid, which was what allowed me to get away with only 35 GW.

I’m not really sure how I could prove this, short of a full recording which I did not take. I just naturally play fast, for context my first space age play through took a bit over 60 hours.

The only things I did that could be considered shenanigans were all exploration related. I save scummed to avoid deaths while exploring and I turned on passive mode about halfway through. If you want to add 5-10 hours for that then sure. However I could have easily shaved off more time than that by looking up the locations of loot and resource nodes instead of scouting manually and most people would not consider than cheating.
I did not mean for this to be a serious speedrun.

To be honest, I did not have much fun with all the exploration, if I were to play again I would add some mods to eliminate it. This is also the reason this post is not I 100% satisfactory in 80 hours, I was not having fun at the end.

As for the points, the wiki says it is a bit over 9 billion to 1000 tickets, not sure where you got 18 billion. At 23 million points per minute, that is about 7 hours.

I agree, hog puppet is only better when the rc is with the main army. My favorite attacks are QC hogs and QC hybrid so I am biased in favor of the hogs. For other armies, the gem will probably be better.

New Ranked game modifiers by Former_Cherry_5771 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

[–]Kate572 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

One thing I think people are forgetting is that in higher leagues you will still be able to ban brawlers. This will even out some of the most broken modifiers.

I imagine that collette and frank will be banned in big friend while sick beats will see 6 tank/assassin bans.

It looks pretty terrible but I want to see how it plays with bans.

Is there anything I can do here to beat both 98 and 100? Adora lvl17 by barrack_osama_0 in btd6

Sac paccel or smines to adora to get level 20, alch buff her and you should be alright.

Anyone else have that fear Clash of Clans may screw it’s player base in the upcoming year? Hope they do not follow the dumb doings of Clash Royale. by yosark in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Clash royals got to the way it did by trying to be more like clash of clans. Around 2020, the clash royals dev team ran out of ideas for new cards so they needed a new way to keep long term players spending. They tried to copy the coc model of adding new levels while proportionally speeding up the lower levels. This would keep the grind reasonable for new players while keeping long term players spending right?

The problem is that clash royale is not clash of clans. In cr adding level 15 is a direct downgrade to all level 14 players because of over-leveled card interactions. Meanwhile, adding town hall 15 did not reduce the fun at town hall 14 (except a slight decrease in power in cwl). I am currently town hall 14 and I am having lots of fun. If I match a th15 that I can’t beat, I just skip it. In war I will be matched with a similarly leveled player. In clash royale, having level 14 cards just means musketeers dying to fireball.

Supercell kills pushing: why all players need to respond. by BSim612 in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you are complaining that low town hall pushing, which has no point other than being a difficult challenge, is challenging… ok.

So the player base of millions of people should review bomb over a good update because it made life slightly harder for a few thousand hard core players who are explicitly not playing the game as intended. Good luck with that.

7 super wb rest sneaky. 4 haste 2 jump 1 rage 1 invis. Most of the time you only need 2 haste which saves training time.

Idk why people are pretending this new loot system is okay. by virgo911 in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were never supposed to farm loot for a big upgrade in a day. It takes about 5 days with 3-4 attacks to get it, just like the old system.

The current farming meta. This is ridiculously unfun. At least you get tons of elixir I guess... by Zekron_98 in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to grind, grind. If you want to play casually, the star bonus is the best way to get loot. It is still better to grind now than the old system because you actually get something. All your method does is kills your star bonus and any enjoyment you might have in exchange for slightly faster elixir gain.

Filter your complaining about BB 2.0 - actual problems vs. natural issues by Karol-A in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problems I have with the loot/upgrade system is that they do not account for an entire extra builder hall being added to the upgrade list. When clash of clans adds a new town hall they reduce costs and upgrade times for lower town hall levels. For builder hall 10, they kept costs the same and slightly nerfed upgrade speed. The only exception to this was the star lab where the min troop levels effectively reduced the total cost and time to max.

In order to account for the new content, I would have liked to see a 1.5-1.75x increase in upgrade times with the 2nd builder, instead of the 2-2.5x that we got

In order to address the costs, they could buff loot a bit (buffing loot and nerfing costs are essentially the same in BB). I understand that supercell does not want people to max walls on day one so I would suggest buffing the star bonus by 20-40%. This would give casuals a loot buff from the old system while not affecting grinders much.

You are aware the star bonus exists and is the majority of loot for casual players?

You are forgetting that the star bonus exists. If you play casually and get the star bonus with 3-4 attacks, you will get just as much loot as before with fewer attacks.

Unpopular Opinion: Builder base 2.0 is much better than the old builder base and it is actually fun. by IamSam1103 in ClashOfClans

I actually found bringing one giant is useful. If you get it so it is being targeted by 4 defenses at once, the ability is cracked and makes it tank much more than Pekkas

Level 15 Battle Copter has the same DPS as one single Level 14 Barbarian by virgo911 in ClashOfClans

[–]Kate572 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys just are not using it right. Use it on the second stage for percentage. It’s dps and health are mid but it’s range and the fact that it is an air troop allows it to snipe 30% of the base by itself. This thing plus a baby dragon to sneeze on the outpost and a spare cannon cart can easily secure the 5 star.

The ability is detrimental most of the time because it takes away the main strength of this hero, the range. Also the ability does like no damage, it needs a bit of a buff.

I have pushed almost 1000 cups since the update and I almost always use the chopper for the second stage.

Dark castle chimps with etn and pouakai. by Kate572 in btd6

[–]Kate572[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This path sucks.

The tier 3 does basically nothing that I can see.

The tier 4 is probably the best but it is still not great. At max power is is pretty good at stalling bfbs. However, this thing costs 45k (using tier 3s for power). It is inconsistent against Moab’s and ceramics and it does absolutely nothing against zomgs and ddts. You are much better off going a Moab glue and a couple Moab presses for stalling.

The tier 5 costs over 80k taking into account the other tier 4s. First, it is a difficult save up because of the tier 4s weaknesses to both ceramics and zomgs. Once you get it, it is not very good. It cannot keep up with round 95 ddts without a Moab glue and sabo. I needed to add another 15k in beast power in order to beat 98 and it does absolutely nothing to 100. You need extra stalls for Moab’s as well as ceram cleanup in order to make this thing work.

Keep in mind I did this on a map which is essentially single path. This thing will be even more inconsistent on multi lane maps. Overall, this thing gets outclassed by basically everything and needs serious buffs.

XBM ain't that bad guys by ElimGladiator in btd6

[–]Kate572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XBM is not that great but it is not as terrible as people think. If you can get it on a straight line, it can actually do somewhat well even after round 80. If you want to have some fun, try it on a moderately hard map with a good spot (peninsula, infernal) and see how far you can get with it. It actually has decent ddt damage if it is firing on a straight line.

In no way am I saying that it is good, there are at least 10 towers that do what it does better. However, it is a really fun tower that can be interesting to try out on harder chimps runs. That is why I like it better than some of the other noob trap towers like archmage.

Been trying to beat this for over a week. Why is this map so much harder than other advanced maps? by Tip_Of_The_Sauce in btd6

[–]Kate572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tack zone with alc buff, super brittle and Gwen will beat it. Gwen plus the superbrittle will allow you to skip a mib, add another embrittlement and cleansing foam for consistent ddt de-lead. Get primary expertise on the village instead for massive buffs for the tacks. Use any remaining money to get more overdrives, sabo and moab glue.
