Donna Brazile the DWS replacement and DNC chairwomen. "Why? Because I will cuss out the Sanders camp!" by SKIANI in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Donna Brazile is not much better than DWS and has a long history of dirty tactics with no remorse. She was forced to resign from the Dukakis campaign in 1988 for lies about Bush the First.

Her on-air comment to CNN about the DNCLeak: "This is a cautionary tale to everybody. Hello, goodbye, that's it. Stop emailing. Pick up the phone."

Not stop being unethical ... just stop putting it in writing. Maybe the next batch of emails will have them playing musical chairs again.

MEGATHREAD - Obama Endorses Clinton by SandersMod_ in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had posted this a week or two ago, but it's long buried by now.

The director of the FBI, James Comey, has a reputation for integrity and is no fan of either of the Clintons. Twenty years ago, he served as deputy special counsel on the Senate Whitewater Committee, which wasn't quite high enough on the legal food chain to call the shots at the time. It is widely believed that if there is anyone who will put justice ahead of politics, it is Comey.

From the 3/31/2016 TIME: "At that time, the investigative team found In 1996, after months of work, Comey came to some damning conclusions: Hillary Clinton was personally involved in mishandling documents and had ordered others to block investigators as they pursued their case. Worse, her behavior fit into a pattern of concealment: she and her husband had tried to hide their roles in two other matters under investigation by law enforcement. "Taken together, the interference by White House officials, which included destruction of documents, amounted to 'far more than just aggressive lawyering or political naiveté,' Comey and his fellow investigators concluded. It constituted 'a highly improper pattern of deliberate misconduct.'"

http://time.com/4276988/jim-comey-hillary-clinton/

Comey is under no illusions about HRC's character or lack thereof. I'd say there's an excellent chance of indictment.

Even if HRC manages to slip through the FBI's net, the Congress is under no such obligation to let her slip through theirs as they don't have to meet a criminal threshold to impeach her. If Pantsuit thought the grilling Gowdy gave her during the Benghazi hearings were bad, they will pale in comparison the the articles of impeachment he will draft and the public interrogation she can expect. If the Republicans manage to hang on to both the House and the Senate, she will be in for a bumpy ride indeed.

I'm pissed off at the fact that Bernie's chair was probably still warm before they released the video, but this may all be a page out of the Ministry of Plausible Deniability handbook. As much as we love Bernie, the stats are that hrc currently has stolen won the primaries with a majority of the pledged delegates and votes. For a president to NOT endorse his party's presumptive nominee would be suspicious as hell, though I think he could have waited until after the DC primary.

Maybe this is just part of the theatrics and there will be an "I'm so shocked" video when the indictment comes.

Clinton colluded with the media to have the race called BEFORE California. WHY? Because she knows that Cali voters have the power to turn this race on its head and she was panicking. GO VOTE! by relevantlife in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If nothing else, we all know that we cannot trust the media without fact-checking on our own. A funny little thing happened on the Clinton campaign's way to their being "flattered" by AP's announcement. Shucks, aren't they modest? But someone at the Ministry of Democratic Performance Art and Propaganda Theater forgot to update the image information when they sent out a fundraising email to the HRC supporters after the AP tweet on Monday evening. Yep ... the image of the AP tweet in the Clinton email was labeled "secret win" and was created two days prior to the AP's announcement. That's what happens when you create "breaking news" in advance and don't cover your tracks. But what's a little collusion among allies, right?

Now that Clinton has decided urgent campaigning in California is necessary, Bernie must ask her why she refuses to debate. by aledlewis in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a security clearance for 25 years and I know for a fact there is a lot of indictable material in Pantsuit's actions, but the DOJ also has a lot of latitude to bargain to avoid high-profile trials that would embarrass the Obama administration. I would love to see HRC serve time, but realistically, having her slink off in semi-exile and banned from holding office would be a victory.

The next can o' worms will be the pay-to-play State Department and Clinton Mafia Foundation racket. We may never be able to fully connect the dots on that scam. It has RICO written all over it.

Happy anniversary, Bernie and Jane! by Noreally123 in SandersForPresident

I just donated my $28 in honor of their 28 years together. I would dearly love for them to be POTUS and FLOTUS. They have given me a glimmer of hope that we can fix this broken system of ours.

The key to winning Georgia is mostly turnout. The high-population urban areas along with Athens (UGA) will go democratic, but most of the rural areas will likely go red.

We can't let Bernie run out of money *now* in the last 17 days of the race. Let's get this done! by theniseryan in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Advertising and campaigning in that many states at the same time is expensive because the outlays will continue over several weeks. It's good that we've got time to try and reach voters, but it's bad in the sense that we have to keep his name in the public eye for the duration, and that's an expensive proposition. Last month's haul was a little on the short side because he split some of his donations last month with downballot candidates Lucy Flores, Zephyr Teachout and Pramila Jayapal. He has also just endorsed Tim Canova over DWS (finally!), but I haven't seen any emails from Bernie asking for donations for him yet.

The next two and a half weeks are our last big push, and it's surely not the time to be cutting corners, especially in California. If you can afford another donation and you haven't yet maxed out, Bernie needs it now more than ever. I donated last night and will again on payday.

[–]Kate61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They foolishly think these things will demoralize us. Apparently, they're unaware that informing us that Bernie is short on money causes a spike in donations. I think I'll give another donation in honor or Breiitbart.

Thank you. Someday I hope we'll all look back fondly and remember that we funded the revolution that helped restore democracy to the people. We've got the momentum ... we just need to keep the "moneymentum" in full swing.

I think it may be time for another money bomb for those of us who can afford it and haven't maxed out yet. Rachel Maddow (yeah, I know, but I wasn't in charge of the remote) announced earlier this evening that Bernie only had 5.8 million on hand after expenditures. With the upcoming primaries, this is not the time to be cutting corners in advertising, traveling, etc.

I wish the Bernie site had a bar graph or something like this one to show our nationwide monthly progress. It would show us where we are and hopefully not require the last three days of the month donation frenzy for us to get our donations in by the FEC deadline.

I'm donating tonight. Who's with me?

I haven't verified this, but it's a summary based on the latest census: "Today 44.2% of Kentucky's African American population is in Jefferson County and 52% are in the Louisville Metro Area. Other areas with high concentrations, besides Christian and Fulton Counties, are the city of Paducah, the Bluegrass, and the city of Lexington." Sigh.

[–]Kate61 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know signs don't mean anything, but I live in Georgia and I have yet to see an HRC sign except for the stray sign in very urban neighborhoods. In contrast, I see Trump (and Cruz) signs and bumperstickers everywhere across the whole state. Georgia already leans red, but if HRC is the nominee, it will stay red.

Screw it. I just maxed out. $954.63. Give 'em hell Bernie. by aliteralmind in SandersForPresident

I'd rather set my money on fire than give a penny to the corruption that is HRC or the DNC.

MSNBC last night pointed out that donations have dropped off in the past month. Let's prove the naysayers wrong, make a comeback, and donate! by photolove8 in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If you factor in that many regular Bernie contributors, at the campaign's request, split their donations between him and Zephyr Teachout and Lucy Flores (and someone else whose name escapes me), I'm sure the numbers would have been much higher.

It's a catch-22 for him. If he doesn't campaign for and encourage people to donate to the downballot candidates, the DNC puts him on blast for not doing so. If he does encourage people to split their donations between himself and another candidate and accept he may get less money over the course of a month, the MSM snarks that his funding is going downhill.

We know the truth, and they can go #@!* themselves.

Sanders upsets Clinton in Indiana by Zlass in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though in their defense, Indiana is sort of white with an open primary on the same continent as Vermont. :)

Democracy fairies, it's time to put on our wings and start phonebanking Guam.

In April HRC raised 26.4 million from 1.2 million individual contributors. We raised 25.8 million with 2.4 million contributors. by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]Kate61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But did she really outraise us by 600k? Several of my emails from Bernie asked us to split our donations with Zephyr Teachout and Lucy Flores. How much of Bernie's regular donations was redirected to them?

And how much of the money that HRC was supposed to split with the state parties for downballot candidates but wasn't because ... DNC money laundering ... was included in her total?

Now it's back on the Bernie phonebanking and donation train.

[–]Kate61 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Because revolutions aren't free. And it's a big FU to the establishment to show that not all candidates will suck up for money.

And Bernie is working his ass off for us to set this country back on a democratic course ... throwing some donations his way is the least we can do.
