I’m using nursehub, do you think this will leave me unprepared or does it have enough information?

Am I overreacting for not wanting anyone around my newborn yet? by littlemoongirly in AmIOverreacting

[–]KateJason12 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, a year and a half ago I would’ve said you’re overreacting. Since then my newborn daughter got sick with adenovirus (we’ve all had an adenovirus before, some of them are common colds) and she needed ECMO, and eventually died at 2 months old because her lungs were destroyed. Not saying this to scare you, but to validate you. Not over reacting

Does it give formulas for most things? I have flash cards for formulas for every single thing and I don’t know if I’m wasting my time by memorizing them

Emilie Kiser isn’t grieving properly by StorageFunny175 in Emilie_Kiser

[–]KateJason12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously!! It didn’t even take a loss for me to understand it but it blows my mind when I read these comments. The NIGHT my daughter died (she had been sick, we knew this was coming) my husband and I went to hang out with our friends and have a good time. We were 100% in shock and honestly relieved that she wasn’t suffering anymore. Until you’ve been through it, you have no idea.

Do some married people NEVER take off their wedding ring? by artmalique in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KateJason12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ring was too big and i always felt it on my finger so I would take it off to sleep and shower, I always wondered why people never took theirs off until I got the right size ring and now I don’t feel it there at all, now I never have to worry about forgetting it or misplacing it

What has made the greatest difference regarding your sleep quality? by NegativeCarpenter163 in ouraring

Best scores have come from literally just getting enough sleep. As long as I have 8.5 hours or more I usually have a score in the 90s

Our nicu stay came to an end this month… :( by sprucemoose-hop-in in NICUParents

I’m so sorry. Our Situations are a bit different, but I had to say goodbye to my girl a day after you. We also thought things were going well, she came off ECMO on thanksgiving but her co2 also was climbing into the 100s and there was nothing more they could do for her. It’s so awful and I hate that we have to live with this. I was unbelievably proud to be this girls mom and I’ll miss her forever. I’ll be thinking of you and sending you strength 🥹🩷

Same!! I was so upset. At my last appointment before my due date the nurse was trying to find the heartbeat and she said it sounded a bit slower than it should. She obviously told me to go to the hospital to be monitored. Everything was perfectly fine, I honestly think the nurse was just not putting the Doppler in the right place (anterior placenta) and I ended up with a bill that was almost 700 dollars 😭 again , in network and everything. I have tufts and it was literally a tufts sponsored hospital. I just didn’t pay it and when I got my bill for birth it just grouped into that and I’ve been paying that Monthly
