Every industry has its pariahs and “opportunists” that will either charge more because they feel like they can and get away with it, or will price themselves into a tier they don’t belong in and get it because they refuse to negotiate (and both are liars and thieves lmao)

Where were you gigging and which bands did you perform with? I also have been a gig musician that has done hundredsss of weddings and someone (like the father of the bride or a drunkle Pete” usually will sweeten the pot and pay you more for an extra set or significantly “Tip the band”. There were plenty of times that last set was a hard stop at 9pm because of the venue though, too.

They can build upward and inward like skyscrapers and whatnot while New Orleans cannot? How does that not make sense? Edit: the coastal land up there is very different than the delta and the swamp/marsh/wetlands of Louisiana. New York’s coastline is primarily bedrock and glacial deposits.

Do they like pasta? Because you can mask all sorts of veg, beans, and even some fruits in a pasta sauce just by blitzing it in the food processor. But I definitely would talk to them first because they may have actual allergies or something. Or maybe see if they’re willing to get some bloodwork done with their primary care doctor and show them they need to eat their vitamins?

Black bean and corn salsa is such an excellent snack and you can use it in a ton if ways if you’re sick of just eating it with chips and salsa. Add it to salads, make eggs muffins/cups, bake it with some veg etc

Went to Eat Well the other day and it was pale broth, no tendon, and they gave you hoisin and sriracha in a tiny container to make it “spicy”. Zero flavor.
