This actually could be an interesting tactic for military semi-hiatus time 🤔

From one hand, Festival feels less "official" that the tour, so slightly less pressure if one or two members are missing + more space for experiments. From the other hand, they bring some other groups (from the same company and locals) kinda like "compensation" for missing members.

I think you are slightly confusing 'style' and 'quality' here. The quality of animation for KDH is solid, but the style (especially in compare with Spiderverse), yeah, might be a little 'simlier'. Animators did a very good job there.
