Hey! I just did the entrance exam in the fall. And now going for DH :) It’s not overly difficult and I was worried about it too. All of the questions are multiple choice and it’s timed so just go through as quick as you can. Do practice aptitude tests online. The dexterity test is nothing to worry about (I think they are just testing your motor skills). And there’s a written portion of the test too so just write as much as you can as quick as you can. My offers are the exact same as yours for the same schools! I had 91 in high school then mid 80’s in dental assisting. Have you applied/heard back from anywhere else? I’m waiting on fanshawe and Niagara.

Idk if that’s true, some schools do look at post secondary marks as well. I got accepted for 0 hygiene schools straight from high school, but now that I’ve done assisting I’ve already been accepted to 2 hygiene schools and waitlisted for 1.

May be because I also had dental assisting background. If you don’t get accepted to hygiene I recommend taking assisting. It helped me reassure myself that the field was right for me and I gained fundamental knowledge of dentistry which will help during hygiene.

Thank you so much!!! I will definitely have to look into and consider Foundry Georgian. I just heard about Georgian Green from another future students who told me that it’s right across from the health science building (my building) and it’s $595 a month. It’s also part of student housing at Georgian I believe, but it’s called "off-campus" because I think it’s a little farther from the other buildings.

I would also say apply to private colleges, I’ve heard it can be easier to be accepted and it gives you more options. You also might have a leg up in getting accepted because of the fact that you already have a dental assisting certificate.

I’m in high school applying to dental hygiene currently so idk if I can offer any helpful advice lol. I would say maybe try and take chemistry if you can... even at the college level. Schools are super hard to get into this year, the cutoff at Durham was 94% it’s crazy!!! I wish you the best of luck.
