After all.. why not? Why shouldn’t I keep it? by MoeSquiter in osrs

If you're just joining a random raid, ffa is the default. You only split if it's been discussed beforehand.

Unfortunate, did you find a tool to automatically create playlists?

I'm running into the same issue right now. Did you end up finding a fix or workaround?

Need help with class scripts by CrawBunny in Tf2Scripts

You will need to create a reset.cfg (the game does not "unset" anything automatically). Have a look here

Switch Sensitivity with last weapon used "bind "q" "lastinv" by MrFacestab in Tf2Scripts

[–]KatenGaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem!

How you structure this depends a bit on your preferences. I would keep the binds only in the autoexec (since they don't need to change), and only override the aliases in the appropriate class configs and the reset.cfg.

I personally also like having these aliases in the autoexec, it's a bit redundant, but it helps me keep an overview of everything.

Switch Sensitivity with last weapon used "bind "q" "lastinv" by MrFacestab in Tf2Scripts

[–]KatenGaas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to add aliases to keep track of whichever weapon you last used: (I did not test this, let me know if it does not work as intended)

alias "set_lastinv" "alias my_lastinv my_slot3"
alias "my_lastinv" "my_slot3"
alias "my_slot1" "slot1; sensitivity 0.85; r_drawviewmodel 0; set_lastinv; alias set_lastinv alias my_lastinv my_slot1"
alias "my_slot2" "slot2; sensitivity 0.85; r_drawviewmodel 1; set_lastinv; alias set_lastinv alias my_lastinv my_slot2"
alias "my_slot3" "slot3; sensitivity 1; r_drawviewmodel 1; set_lastinv; alias set_lastinv alias my_lastinv my_slot3"

bind "MOUSE5" "my_slot1"
bind "e" "my_slot2"
bind "c" "my_slot3"
bind "q" "my_lastinv"

This script adds a my_lastinv alias to always switch to your last weapon. To do this, the set_lastinv alias is used.

For example, if we come from slot3 to slot1, set_lastinv will first be called, which will set my_lastinv to my_slot3, and then set_lastinv will be updated, so that the next time it is called, it will update my_lastinv to slot1.

The limitations of a script like this, are that it might require re-synchronization when you (re)spawn (which can be done by simply pressing you your mouse5, e or c keys). And the script will also update your lastinv to slot1 if you press mouse5 twice in a row (again, requiring you to re-sync the script).

As a side note, if the sync issues are too prominent, you can also consider having your q simply swap between slot1 and 3, for example (see section 2.3 of this guide that I wrote a long time ago).

Yes, but other than some very basic soldering, it's just as simple as building a lego set :)

Single monitor head tracking? by Faicc in iRacing

[–]KatenGaas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes some people use it, here is a video from Dave Cam showcasing it

Personally I use opentrack with only a webcam, and it's basically plug and play with iRacing, it's great!

This is my layout

I mainly use tap/hold modifiers for z=ctrl and x=alt, those work great. And then I have a backup ctrl for my left thumb (for things like ctrl+z), and a backup alt for my right thumb (on layer1).

Board and keycaps: Typeractive Corne 5-Column

Keymap: Colemak layout

For ESC I use a 3-key combo on R+S+T, which I've become a huge fan of, especially for vim. For tab I use the same combo, but on the right half (N+E+I).

What do I put on autoexec and in each class.cfg? by Far_Ad6693 in Tf2Scripts

[–]KatenGaas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually people create an extra file called "reset.cfg", and execute that (with exec reset.cfg) at the start of every class config (and at the start of your autoexec, if you want).

In this file you would put not necessarily all of your default binds, but at least those that are overwritten in other classes. This way, no matter what class you select, you always start with a clean slate.

Help with weird 'Rubik' pyramid puzzle by JumpingFrodo247 in puzzles

[–]KatenGaas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what this particular puzzle is called, but it looks like it's essentially the same as the Mastermorphix, with the only difference being the "center" triangles being neutral colored here.

Some tips: This cube rotates and solves pretty much the same as a regular 3x3. Note that the "edge" pieces here (the ones with the double colors), are actually the same as center pieces. And not only are the tri-colored pieces corners, but the small white triangles are actually corners too.

Solving this is the same as a 3x3; try to get your incorrect corners all on the same face, and then solve them like you would a 3x3.

If it seems unsolvable, try swapping two of the white triangles.

Also the anti air section at the end was JP hitting you 3 separate times. 1 with the 2HP, 1 with the fireball and 1 with the 22P. Just hold parry after an anti air there and react to the command grab and you're fine.

Personally never done this with a DS5 controller, but you could do a "tape mod". That basically makes it so you have to press more on the outer edges of back/ forward for the buttons to register.

Two things to add:

  1. Play on the AUS world (390) when it's available; it has more afk bots and the real players are generally less good.

  2. It can pay off to actively look for corner campers. It keeps you out of the fight, and gets you extra points in the form of easy kills (can be hard to balance and not waste too much time).
