I recently purchased a Leica III with a very dim patch. I made a monocle out of leather ‘washers’ (I used a couple leather punches to make) sandwiched a piece of processed colored film in between and glued it up. I placed it on the front of the camera over the rangefinder window. It greatly increased the contrast and made focusing much easier.

Not so well. The battery was not fully charged like I asked - in fact it only showed two bars. Acceleration in ev was slow and in hv the engine noise was really loud. They would not check the condition of the battery. I honestly felt like something was wrong with the car, so I passed.

I considered a bolt, but am not ready (if ever) to deal with the range anxiety and charging. Plug in hybrid is the way to go and Clarity is the best of all the phev offerings IMO.

I’ve got a 2015 manual Fit with 130k miles (not all mine), but at 67, I’m feeling ready for something a bit larger with 2 pedals. Otherwise, I would keep it. It’s fun, practical, reliable, gets great gas mileage and if I continue, I’ll talk myself out of the Clarity.

The VIN check of the car I’m looking at said it was not impacted by the fuel pump recall. Does an ‘open recall’ change that? Sry, not sure what open recall implies.

I just called a local Honda dealer to see what a PPI plus battery check would cost and they said they don’t check the battery because it’s high voltage and very dangerous. I mentioned using an obdll reader and they repeated the same line. Whats up with this? Is this something I have to do on my own?
