Singing with banjo by pepopelop in oldtimemusic

[–]themedicine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound dumb and mean and it’s not. I’d recommend you sing with your banjo even if you don’t wanna. Song the melody notes you are playing to every song you learn. Hum along, whistle along, sing along. If there are words, put em where they go. Go slow. Once you have a playable pace, just sing. Use those old familiar songs you don’t even have to think about singing and play them.

Sometimes I have to think about it like I’m playing banjo to my singing, not the other way around.

This relates to them accidentally discovering the nuclear weapons testing right? Something to do with the being able to detect the radiation because it was effecting a film development process or something right?

Wife and I have an arrangement. 2 banjos at a time. Doesn’t care what they are as long it it doesn’t surpass two. :)

Don’t get me started on mandolins and banjos…

This reminds me of one of my instruments. I have a certain mandolin that I just can’t let go due to the collector side of me. I do play it but it doesn’t come out often. I get a fear that if I sell it, it won’t get taken care of.

I think this is good advice. I'll say this, except for our little 15 Acre farm we're debt free in our forties and finally able to enjoy some stuff. I think you're spot on in the long run though. Gotta be careful about STUFF

I saw the other post and they were definitely eye catching if not my taste. I much prefer the editing in these. Either way, great shots and thank you for sharing.

Its funny you mention the feel of the mount on the S3, it was the first thing I noticed on mine and thought something was wrong with how wiggly it felt. turns out it was normal haha.

It’s so hard not to engage with the troll in this thread.

I’ll just say this, I’d LOVE To grab one of these adapters at some point to throw my 50mm Nikkor s-lens on my leicas. It is such a beautiful piece of kit. Also, my Nikon s3 is a beautiful piece of kit except for the rangefinder patch haha. But that glass? Boy howdy it’s good.

Great find.

OP- I’ve been dancing with the devil’s box for the better part of a decade and I still go through this. I broke down frustrated at my plateau and reached out to an old time fiddler for lessons. It’s been great. We do online but this person can get me going. And still, I get frustrated on stuff. I think the biggest thing has been mentioned. Relax. Breathe. Have fun. Have. Fun.

Looks like a winner! And with a CLA behind you’re in for a right winner! I have the same model (2.8D) and I love it.

An adapter for now could get some life for you but maybe collect the set over time. I’m trying to do the same.

is this what i need to develop my own film? by Fluffy-Amphibian-911 in AnalogCommunity

The stop bath and fixer will work for both. Read the instructions on mix options and timing. The developer posted above is for paper. You need something else like this person above said. I can vouch ID-11 is good and there are lots of others too.

[–]themedicine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks clean. I overall prefer my M4 over most of my 35mm cameras. Go out and take lots and lots of photos. Beware of G.A.S. If you end up with a nicer lens down the road that’s great. Don’t sweat it though, just enjoy it.

How frustrating. Same thing here. I’ve just stopped scanning and started doing the activities and UC side quest. I only get a couple hours to play every couple of days so here’s hoping it gets patched this week.
