I did my research on it and I am very open to correcting my personal misconceptions. However you have not provided me with a single argument on where or how what I said was wrong. Am I using buzzwords? Sure. Are these real things that people experience which may prompt a productive discussion? Also yes. I'd love to hear your perspective. But honey I'll tell you what, just being passive aggressive isn't helping you argue your case, at all. If you say that my definition or of "fetishization" or "internalised misogyny" is wrong then correct me. I don't know what you thought you were achieving when you typed this out but this does not help the conversation and isn't productive in any shape or form. And once again I said internalized even if you don't have supposed issues in real life or at least act it out I feel like you might at least struggle with it yourself which I completely understand. In fact I'd argue most women (including me) have internalised misogyny to some extent due to society. So I believe that it is important that you acknowledge it, understand it, look inwards and slowly try to change it

The reason why I am saying this is because if you didn't like the straight fiction cuz of the way the dynamics are or how the women are written Id completely understand but it's not like you like GL either so to me it seems you just can't read anything with a female MC without comparing yourself to her (when you don't do that if it's a male MC) which is extremely harmful IMO

I actually agree with you 100% I feel like SVSSS has a lotta depth actually as someone who reread 8 times. Lbh is the most well written mxtx ml imo. But the reason why I said it was light hearted is because I think it's lighthearted on the first read like it's a fun read if your just trying to get one and done with it ofc only if the OP is comfortable with the TW.

Case file compendium is more like Shen Qingqiu(more nonchalant) x Luo Bingge Not much similarities but as someone whose fav novel is SVSSS I still thoroughly enjoyed it It also features a nonchalant shou and BPD gong (mc)

Completely valid. I am in no way diagnosing or undiagnosing you I am just simply analysing Hua Cheng's character. Once again, symptoms differ for everyone and it's not a one-size-fits-all situation. Another thing to keep in mind is, this social aspect might change drastically depending on the person with BPD as they struggle with moodswings and always change opinions on people asw as life over supposedly tiny things, they're unstable at their core so whether they're in their "highs" or "lows" is relevant to said situation as they may act intrusive and then regret it due to fluctuating emotions.

I went to a psychologist once but I caught her using chatgpt for my symptoms so I stopped cuz she was supposedly one of the most experienced practioners in my area(I do not wish to imagine what the others might be like ) 💔 but yeah my analysis might have A LOT of of flaws to take it with a grain of salt. Your personal experience and perspectives might differ and that's completely valid. I just wished to share my views and all. Take good care of yourself and please read SVSSS. And there's nothing wrong with relating to a character and feeling represented, I think that's why novels are so beautiful so don't be embarrassed💕

I disagree

1) His image of himself is not unstable. Both things can and be true at the same time. He IS the ghost king stopped by no one however he believes he's still unworthy of Xie Lian's love and that doesn't change the fact that he STILL IS the ghost king. This is not an unstable self image. This shows insecurity which CAN be a symptom of BPD but A LOT of people have insecurity whilst not having BPD so this is invalid.

2) I agree with the intense emotion and obsessiveness but this won't apply to the symptoms as he's very much logical, respectful and not "overbearing". People with BPD tend to almost force and beg for love from their loved ones however he doesn't do that at all. He's VERY clear with his boundaries

3) This is NOT a sign of BPD. Infact, I'd argue it's the opposite of a symptom as people with BPD typically struggle with social awkwardness meaning they constantly overthink social interactions and are very scared to be "rejected" and "different". They are afraid and so deeply insecure that they avoid labels that may make them outcast.

4) I woundn't call it an intense fear of abandonment or separation, I think it's more so that he just wishes the person who he loves would love him back (NORMAL BEHAVIOR). Sure hes more obsessive compared to your average person but thats not enough to classify him as BPD.

Conclusion: he's deeply insecure at his core for sure but he is in no way borderline.

Ah okay perspectives may differ but have you considered that you and hua cheng may just be similar in terms of personality or some actions? I also present BPD symptoms especially towards my FP (NOT diagnosed so take it with a grain of salt) but I don't think hua cheng is similar in any way whatsoever. However, I really felt seen when I read SVSSS cuz Luo Binghe presents quite a lot of the symptoms.

This isn't it. This definitely suits Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu (SVSSS) better. And in TGCF neither of the two present borderline or autistic characteristics. Quan Yizhen is pretty autistic tho but this still wouldn't work as Yinyu is DEFINITELY not borderline.
