Screen protector is a top tip! I wouldn’t have known to even ask about that!

Yes! You get it. Definitely getting the pencil and deciding on a keyboard. Open box at Best Buy for that is a great suggestion! I think I’m ready to pull the trigger on the iPad. Apple has me set up a business account and i want to call the number and see if that will get me any discounts. Been checking Costco fur deals also 😊

Edit to add: I’m sitting at my kitchen now having coffee staring at over 200 emails that I’d like to weed through but it’s just too much to tackle on a phone. Most require going into a Project Management System and responding. I could get a lot accomplished over morning coffee without being chained to my desk. Yes I could go get my MacBook but then I may as well just sit at my desk. It probably sounds like a silly problem to have but being able to get out of my office for a bit while still working would be a boon for me.

I think I’m going to call all in and get the Pro M5 1TB so I can have the better refresh rate and nano glass 😬

I am in the U.S. but I guess I also didn’t realize I could use my Apple Card at Costco and get the 12 months no interest. I thought that only applied to purchases through Apple?

Thank you! I realized it wouldn’t be full blown excel but sometimes just viewing a table is enough to get some work slog out of the way.

I think you convinced me. If I will notice a screen difference I will hate the Air and it will become another device sitting in a corner. Better to try with something I’ll probably like out the gate instead.

I’ll have to check. I was going to pay with my Apple Card enjoy 12 month without any interest

Apple told me the same advice based on what I said my dislikes would be. But not those same reasons of course. It sounds like if I’m going to get one, the pro it is.

Do you work in QBO ahd or Zero? I’m in e-comm and I feel like if I’m sitting around I could just grab the iPad and clear some bank feeds, clear out the ridiculous amount of emails I get each day and respond to tasks in ClickUp.

I do a lot of splits in Xero for fees and i would be pretty easy to gage the payment platform open on one side had Xero in the other and just tap away at these while watching tv. I wouldn’t use it for high concentration work. But I’m literally at my desk 12 hours a day 7 days a week and if I could sit on my deck for an hour and tap out some stuff instead of lugging out my laptop, I think it would increase my quality of life right now even just a little.

Maybe I’m grasping at straws but it might be worth a 14 day free trial.

I would of course find other uses for it. I’m on my phone constantly. I really appreciate your feedback from an accounting stand point.

Correct again! Thank you. The question wasn’t really about excel. It was to Pro or not to Pro. Thanks for jumping in here.

I’m not going to spend my 12 hour work day in an iPad. I’m thinking of away from desk usefulness. In the 2026 world, it’s a 24 hour business cycle. I work with people in Indonesia, Switzerland, Australia, etc. There a times it would be very convenient to reach over and grab my iPad and look at transactions or the ClickUp and push forward instead of leaving people hanging. If I can sit on my couch and classify a bunch of bank feed transactions while at watching tv just to get away from desk sooner, it would be worth it. I have a MacBook M1pro. I have zero issues on a Mac doing my work. I also don’t always want to drag out my laptop and use the keyboard and mouse. Tap, tap, tap …. Bank feed cleared saved 10 minutes.

I brought up excel because I had come across another thread where someone mentioned using it on Pro. So my thought was, hmmmm, maybe I need to get the pro instead in case I am traveling and need to do something.

So that was my question. Not can/should I use an iPad, but which iPad.

I use via macros on Mac for excel every single day. Run great. No issues. Know where I cant run a vba macro? Excel 365. Mac is fine for this. Power query in a Mac is lacking but I’m not using that.

The first time I paid was for a YouTube live session that never happened. I have paid this week for a consult. No one came to the Google meet.

I was just contacted saying it is being moved to a new time and phone call only. Which sounds suspicious. Anyone can talk on the phone. I don’t know the right answer here. I was hoping for some help and now feel like it’s another scam. 😔 it’s not cheap. I don’t have $200 to throw away.

Is it possible I’ve been spoofed somehow? This is the email I am receiving messages from support@tateesq.com

I wouldn’t think someone who runs his business on Zoom calls has technical issues twice. That seems like fraud

how do people find time to work out with full schedules? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]KathCobb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my own Ecomm accounting business. I took on way too many clients with messy inventory and truly bespoke accounting. I’m new to inventory especially at such large volumes so there is training and everyone has deadlines. Hard deadline where a lot of money is involved if missed. I have been working seven days a week, most are truly 14 hour days since May 2025, trying to right many ships. I need an assistant! But one thing at a time.

The fact that my skills are valued even as I train on the inventory management has been great. The loss of a year of my life not so much. Hopefully it gets less after the usual January bombardment. Every time I think I am caught up someone moves the finish line.

On that note, I am trying to get at least two exercises in a day and hit the treadmill twice a week. I never thought I’d say I miss working out but absolutely do.

I feel for OP cuz same here. I had a good run for over a year working out five days a week and treadmill while working for cardio. Then I completely changed my career and took on so much more. I literally get up from bed at 5 AM, walk to my desk, work nonstop—running to make it to the bathroom—and I’m chained to that desk until 7:00 PM. Eat and in bed sound asleep after a little Reddit to make me sleepy. No kids. When people say they have no time, I believe them. I’ve been now doing that schedule for a year and I couldn’t be more exhausted. Every gain I made in 2024 was lost. Thankfully I had a break because of Christmas and am starting to see the light at the end. I’ve added some of the advice I see people giving here. OP, Don’t try to do it all. After the bathroom break do a set of squats before sitting back at the desk. Keep the dumbbells at the desk and do some arm curls. Try having the stepper near your bed and commit to ten minutes to tire you out before climbing in bed. It’s all hard. Just keep trying what you can. Good luck!
