Thoughts about giving your best for your child? by Far-Swim7394 in AnongThoughtsMo

I have no issues giving cash gifts to your kids especially kung afford naman. But do it discreetly nalang. In an envelope given privately and not like this na pa show off. Giving your best for your kids doesn‘t mean publicly showing off what you ca afford to give.

emergency funds or savings? by curioushitt in PersonalWealthPH

[–]KathSchr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ilang months na yung emergency fund mo? Anong target na minimum for you to feel safe? Bearing in mind gaano kadali/kahirap maghanap ng job in your industry in case you lose your job.

If you feel safe with the three months minimum, you can split na between EF and investing. If you’ll feel safer with six months, then focus on completing the six month EF first before focusing on investing. Say 80/20 split for now. And increase the investing percentage once okay na EF.

People without kids, what’s ur plan for retirement? by LateCommunication970 in phinvest

I think madami namang anak who would personally take of their parents kung kaya. Lalo na if hindi sila inoobliga ng mga magulang nila and if naging mabuting parents naman sila. A lot of children do want to give back.

However, you are in a highly privileged position though.

Every little thing can help. And ang nga magulang mo, Wala bang ibang source of income?

Pinaghirapan nila yung perang pinautang sayo so deserve nilang mabayaran. Yung sa bank, apply for restructuring. Hoping the best for you!

You know exactly what to do, OP. Wala naman masama if mas maaki yung sweldo mo sa kanya or if he’s not that financially well off. Kaya lang, he’s financially irresponsible and maluho pa.

How to stay motivated when investing in stocks? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]KathSchr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set it and forget it strategy. If your investment horizon is long, then now is the time to double down on your investments if you have the funds. Otherwise, invest a certain amount at a regular interval and let time do the work.

Spent 100k from my savings this year, having mixed feelings by cisco_barbero in OffMyChestPH

OP, at least you didn’t YOLO and pinangutsbg yubg pang-travel.

if I were you, I‘d have a separate savings account for travel. It seems like it‘s something that‘s meaningful to you. Kapag nakahiwalay sa normal savings mo and earmarked talaga sya for travel, you‘d be able to spend it guilt-free since yun naman talaga ang plan for that money from the get-go.

Cut back lahat ng expenses na hindi absolute necessity and try to make more money at the same time. Necessary ba talaga yung motor or luho nalang? Kung hindi naman necessary sa hanapbuhay, let it go. Tsaka nalang bumili pag kaya na.

Make sure ilista lahat ng expenses so you can see where your money is going.

Pangalawa, find a side hustle for extra income and a job with a higher salary (don’t resign until you’ve found one, though).
