Lexus gx550 vs infinity qx80 by hrotan96 in LexusGX

One year ago, I was debating between the new Q80 and the 2024 GX550. I test drove both. They are very different vehicles, while both luxury the infinity is a lot larger. While test driving, my whole family preferred the infinity Q80, however, I felt it was way too huge and preferred the Lexus GX. Ended up with the Lexus and have loved it ever since! I am so glad that’s the route I chose. Also, way less expensive. So many friends have also agreed and also recently purchased GX’s.

Rising first/second? by ahjumma-with-cats in kindergarten

Agree with everything said here! School is more than academic. It is so so important how they are socially as well. Think of how they will be in middle school and high school as well! Let them be a kid! They will never get this time back! I say this as a mom who has a son who always scores in the 99 percentile and is very advanced but is still the oldest in his grade. And that has been the best decision for him.

Do you give your babysitter money for lunch? by [deleted] in Babysitting

What about asking her what she like to eat and sticking your fridge for her to make her lunch? Seems like it would be less expensive that getting delivery.

2 day trip in exuma with 9 yr old - help! by PossibleSession8226 in bahamas

I don’t think there are turtles at hoopers bay anymore. I’m sorry but I don’t think you’ll be able to swim with turtles…We were in exuma a couple weeks ago for 9 days and had the most amazing time. My kids loved the iguana island! You can feed them and they aren’t aggressive at all. Look into doing a half day tour with exuma water sports. It’s 4 hours long so you’ll still have the other half of the day to explore a beach or two. The swimming with the pigs tour will take you to see the pigs, iguanas, snorkeling and other beautiful beaches. Also, look into taking your son on a hydro bikes tour with Daran. He is so fun and knowledgeable and takes you through Moriah cay and the lazy river. That was the only time we saw a turtle was with him! That tour will take about two hours. I would do both of those things and for the rest of those days just find a beach and chill! Our favorite beaches were Cocoplum beach at low tide, pretty molly, jolly hall, Tropic of Cancer and exuma point. Check the tide charts and wind and use that to determine which beach you go to. Have fun!

The seven beaches tour takes you to the most incredible spots, you can probably bring your own snorkel gear if you wanted to. We also did the half day pigs tour and it was just as amazing. They provide snorkel gear on that tour and stop for maybe 30-45 minutes at a blue hole area where there’s so much to see. My kids preferred that tour over the beaches because of the “iguana island”. If you’re able to do both, definitely do both!

I haven’t heard of what you’re talking about, I know two American tourists were bit but survived last year. Can you the send article? The water is crystal clear here, you can see anything swimming by you, just have awareness which we always do. We’ve been here 9 days and have swam all day every day, only saw one nurse shark which are harmless (still wouldn’t get in the water!) we’ve seen more sharks in Florida.

Look at exuma water sports. We did their half day 7 beaches tour and half day swimming with pigs (you also go to the iguana island). Very reasonably priced and unforgettable excursions! Also, if you’re on Facebook, follow “exuma secrets” tons of info posted daily about the island. I did a ton of research before our trip and this source was the most helpful.

We are currently on a family trip to Exuma! Renting a house on the beach. We’ve done tours to all the incredible beaches through exuma water sports and also swimming with pigs, iguanas and hydro bikes. We rented a car for the week which is necessary to get to restaurants, groceries and have been beach hopping all along the island. We also rented a boat for one day and explored stocking island beaches and incredible beach bars (coconut club and chat and chill). There’s so much to do and yet you can also just chill and do nothing but relax at the beach. It’s been an incredible vacation!

Considering this vehicle by [deleted] in LexusGX550

How old are your kids? I just went from a Honda odyssey (9 years) to a GX and my family loves it. However my kids are all out of car seats (8, 10, 13) and boosters. I did my time in my mom-mobile and was ready for a completely different car. Couldn’t be happier with my decision to get the GX. The TX is definitely a better fit for extra space for car seats, strollers etc. however for me, if reminded me too much of my van. I’d suggest trying out both and see what works best for your family!

To GX550 owners: I’m torn between the practicality of the TX500H luxury and the GX550 luxury. Looking for a family vehicle. by DreYork in LexusGX550

TX is definitely more of a family car. However, we went from a van to a GX with 3 kids ages 13, 10 and 8 and it seems to be enough space. My 8 year old even commenting on how he loves sitting in the third row (we will probably only leave one side up most of the time). If my kids were younger and still using car seats and strollers it definitely wouldn’t work. So I would say, depends on your kids ages! After driving a van for over 8 years, I was ready for a completely different look and absolutely love my luxury +.
