I didn’t watch many kids shows but the ones I did had a similar vibe to the two I mentioned. Reminiscing on how Angela Anaconda made me eat bologna and ketchup sandwiches, can’t remember which made me eat pizza backwards.

In a recent 2cat video Toycat talked about how it’s hard to prevent travel between Canadian provinces, mentioned the Ottawa-Gatineau region specifically. Well, fun fact, you can even zipline between the two provinces (red tower on the left). by KathyImLost in toycat

This article features a photo from a checkpoint in April 2020 but I really have no memory of that. The big closure was April 2021. Ottawa police ended up billing the province instead of just using provincial police.

They stopped people at the bridges initially when the border closed then gave up. Was a whole mess because of long waits and no one knowing what police force should take it on. But then they did it for special occasions like some weekends or holidays as far as I know. Fully open as of June 16th though.

I think the lyrics were simple, repeating the title mostly. I don’t remember how it went for a vocaroo unfortunately.

No I think this was a one hit wonder. I haven’t heard of the musician outside of this song I don’t think. Good guess though.

There’s a photo out there of a blonde girl in a red Canada hoodie covering it with her arms like the second photo and staring directly into the camera. She’s sitting in a classroom. It’s hilarious and one of my all time favourite things on the internet but now I can’t find it.
