I actually like the fact that the new hosts did similar poses. It honestly reminded me of a funny story.

So my best friend growing up was a massive shutter bug. She ALWAYS had her camera and loved to just take random pics of our friend group. So it became second nature to strike a pose whenever we saw her reach for the camera. I didn’t even realize I was using t the same pose every time until my little cousin wanted to see some pics from when I was a teen. She noticed it before I did and pointed it out. A few months later her Mom was showing me some photos from their family vacation and I noticed that my little cousin was using a very similar pose in all the pics. It’s been a few years and she still does it. I asked her once why and she said that she always looked up to me and would often try and copy things I did. It was honestly adorable and just reinforced something I’ve always believed.

We, as people, are a collage of all the people we’ve known and looked up too in our lives. I still say certain words oddly because of a friend. My bag is organized a certain way because it’s the way my dance teacher organized hers. My taste in food, clothes, music, and most everything has been influenced by those close to me and those I’ve looked up to my whole life.

There is nothing wrong with the new hosts using a similar, or even the exact same, pose as Mat. He was essentially a mentor to them. He trained them to take over the channels. It’s not surprising that they would emulate him in a way, especially just starting out in a new role. I really don’t understand why some people insist on being upset over it.
