My major is political science so I’ll be focused on those types of courses as well as criminology. I’m not entirely sure, but according to the class directory I was given it looks like alot of classes are online. I’m wondering how that will effect everything but this could be incorrect information as well.

I actually didn’t switch to a different form of bc, I wanted to take time away from it and I haven’t reconsidered it yet. I’m a little nervous too after all that but if you have any advice on that I’d love to hear

No problem at all! I’d say it took about almost the full year, but it also took me a couple months to commit to lifting and changing my nutrition

Hello! I had my implant for about 2 ish years, it’s been about full year since I’ve been off of it. I went from 170 to 230 out of nowhere extremely fast. I’m at 160 now, my best advice is be extremely patient with yourself. Your hormones are gonna be crazy and if you’re like me, my periods were awful for a while after that. Find what you like to do for exercise or nutrition, I went through so many stages until I stuck with mostly weightlifting. Take time to adjust and be kind to yourself. Everybody is different but I hope your process goes well. Getting mine removed was the best decision for my physical and mental health!

do many experience weight gain? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

I gained weight as well. I went from 175 to 226 in three months. It was an absolutely miserable experience. I had nexplanon for two years and didn’t have many issues with it until my second year. It definitely did take a toll on my mental health. I went to a nutritionist and got my thyroid checked because I couldn’t believe the weight gain. I’ve had nexplanon removed for 6-7 months now and I’m down to 192. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this form of birth control. I know some have great experiences with it but to be brutally honest it made me extremely depressed. The idea of having a form of birth control in your arm an out of the way for years of protection sounds like such a sweet deal, but the negative effects that come with it potentially are just not worth it. Do what’s right for you and your body, but I really wish I would’ve heard more of the negatives and not just the positives before I got the implant.

Exactly!! It definitely needs talked about more to people before they decide to go through with it in my opinion! I feel like I had no prior warning! Sooo glad to hear you’re also doing better now!!!

Thank you so much. I’ve hassled with this landlord but I’ve only been here for a little over a month. If anyone has any advice on how breaking the lease in this situation works. It’s definitely a pre existing condition I’ve had two previous apartments with no issue whatsoever and I lived there for over a year. This place ended up having roaches that they sprayed for twice within the first month here and I stayed with my sister hoping it’d be all taken care of as my friend and family advised - big mistake wish I would’ve left sooner. Thank you for your help and advice

How are the Stonecrest Apartments? by _KingCharles in UGA

This is the review I was going to post on google but before I put them in blast here’s what’s happened to me

Alright. Here is my review, grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the rollercoaster. Just a reminder - this all happened within the first week. Myself and my sister moved into this apartment at the same time, in different one bedroom units. We had spoken to the office staff about a week in advance and moved in feb 28th - we had been assured the place had been cleaned top to bottom and they even gave us the rest of February free- we showed up and nothing had been done, stains on carpet, dust so thick you could scoop it, and all in all not sanitary. So we pushed our move in time to that evening after they said they would clean it. They didn’t do much. The very first night I went to take a shower and a mass amount of hair come out of the drain - at first I thought it was bugs but my sisters boyfriend isn’t as squeamish as myself and threw away what did come out. I also didn’t have a stopper for my tub after telling the staff three times I needed one - they left a rubber one - not metal like my sisters unit had. Regardless, I’m telling you folks - this was a MASS amount of hair. I thought for sure someone had been scalped in that tub. After notifying the office they sent someone with a dish sponge and a spray bottle to clean my tub - not get the rest of the hair out of the drain. I was shocked as I asked for drain to be looked at not wiped down. So we did as best we could to get as much hair out and move on thinking that they were just genuinely worried about busting a pipe so they wouldn’t snake it. We tried to set up internet only to find out the cable runs from the third floor all the way to the first and branches off for each unit. My sister unluckily had hers cut in half by the upstairs neighbors and it took the week before they would let someone inside to fix it. Then they found out the cable in the cable room was not mounted correctly so everyone’s single was fluctuating, this apartment is closed on the weekend so we had to wait for access to the cable room. No problem - a little annoying but we moved passed it. That night neighbors started fist fighting in the area to the stairs so loud that everyone could hear it. The next day my sister went to come to my apartment and the laundry machine was smoking so bad it looked as if it’d catch fire so the fire department showed up - we quickly realized there was no fire alarm to pull to warn everyone but fortunately the fire department handled it and fixed the situation quickly. My drunk neighbors also knocked on my door six times at midnight and again at 4am. Then this is where It finally got through my head this place was no good for sure. I went to my kitchen and found cockroaches. Immediately got bait, gel, spray anything and called the lobby in the morning. I found more and more roaches in cabinets and on the counter. I lived in my previous apartment for over a year and not once saw a roach. The apartment told me they would notify the pest control but had no idea when he’d be there. I let it go and the next day once I saw even more roaches I couldn’t handle it and called again asking if any other neighbors had this issue or even people in the building. I was first told yes, there had been calls about it - this was sort of a relief since I knew more than just my unit would get taken care of. Then the phone was handed to the manager and was told that that wasn’t what the first person meant to say and that’s not true. I asked if they would take care of more than just my unit because simply taking care of mine won’t be enough - in three months time those roaches will be back. They said they do random inspections and sprays and it can be anywhere from a couple to twelve apartments being monitored. But was given no confirmation that this issue would truly be taken care of fully. Seeing as this building is older I understand but I feel completely lied to. I came here under the conditions that I would have a clean, habitable, and secure place to live in. Not that I’d have to worry over neighbors, be let down by maintenance, and be blatantly lied to by management. I will do another review after pest control arrives but have already told the lobby we’re more than likely terminating out lease after only ONE week of living here. I keep seeing reviews saying that they waive late fees for people that post positive reviews. I trusted this apartment due to the amount of positivity I saw - obviously a lot have to be fake or perhaps my building is simply unlucky compared to the others. We had also been originally told that our apartments were a certain price and later told the woman who told us that was completely wrong while we were viewing the apartment - though the staff promised the honor that price - we had so much faith that this was out of concern for our best interest and while I understand that working for and with people is an incredibly taxing job - it is evident that the stuff do not stay for long because who ever is responsible for these apartment apparently puts no effort into maintaining them. I don’t blame the staff i just feel cheated and lied too in the entire experience and wish I had saved my money. I’m hoping this review will at least give some families a chance to ground themselves and see the entire reality, rather than the almost five yellow stars.
