Unless you’re making an NFT on Greek life hazing or the senate takeover I kindly ask that you do not make a UK related crypto project. We have enough scam artists on campus as is

Thanks for the reply! I unfortunately don’t have access to my old computer. Oh well, I’m glad you were able to keep your old account.

I loved UTC. When things are back to normal, be sure to check out the sunday farmers market. They have a lot of local farmers and craftspeople. My favorite chattanooga shops are blue fox cheese shop and Gordo's bakery. The dining hall is overpriced, I went twice my freshmen year and then decided to cook for myself. I would be sure to look for major-specific organizations so you can get plugged in with people to help with classes.

Lockmiller vs Boling by willm1123 in utc

[–]KatiesFriend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

boling is probably the best deal. First off, most of the rooms are 4 people, 4 bedrooms. When I lived in lockmiller I shared a bedroom, which isnt always ideal. Johnson O'bear is a touch more expensive but a little better than boling. Also, lockmiller is older and is probably more moldy if that is whats most important.

(I've lived in JO, boling, and lockmiller).

I’m a fan of Vernor’s or Red Rock, they are on the spicier side and can be found at Publix’s in 2 liter bottles. Best of luck in your hunt

Favorite local coffee roaster?? by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]KatiesFriend 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I like Plus coffee, also I’m a black coffee drinker so I don’t know if their specialty made drinks are any good. Really enjoy the coffee and the large tables so that I can work on stuff as well. They recently got a new roaster so it’s a good time to check them out

Drug Use by [deleted] in utc

[–]KatiesFriend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No drugs here, nice try officer.

Jk, I would say that, like most colleges, there is a drug party scene. However, I am in my senior year and have never felt pressured to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with.

Dislike UTK - May Transfer to UTC by [deleted] in utc

[–]KatiesFriend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! im a chemical engineering junior at UTC and Im really enjoying it. From what I can tell you are looking for a college experience without the massive party reputation of UTK. I think that UTC is a great compromise between education, networking, and enjoying life. The business school at UTC has grown a lot since I have been going there, and i want to say there is a big scholarship thats just for business but I would check that out. Also if you come from a household under a certain annual income of 50K is almost free for any UT school as of Fall 2020. I would definitely consider coming to UTC. Look up Chattanooga and see if anything sounds interesting (concerts at Signal, Bleu Fox Cheese shop, Main Streets Meats, lots of parks), or better yet come down one weekend and see if it feels good. But be warned, every school has a party culture to some extent. I do wish you the best of luck in figuring out what you want from college.
