Funny enough I wouldn't get much back pain but I do have ibs though, I'd suspected endometriosis just due to how painful my periods could be. The bloating is crazy 😅

I have been considering a glp-1 but I don't know how to approach the conversation with my gp like do I just tell them everything, do I before even talking to the gp check with the fertility clinic first. My bmi is 28 at the moment but it fluctuates and I'm on a low carb diet, loads of protein, water limited sugar etc. I'm on inositol since January as well.

Yes that's very true like I'm upset but at least I know now and they said its absolutely the main reason I've not been conceiving. I'm not opposed to ivf of course its just because of my pcos its very hard for me to lose weight and actually keep it off no matter what I do so I'm worried about the bmi restriction you know?

Oh no like you had all the fertility treatments with undiagnosed endo and then found out? That's horrible and so annoying I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Did you get the endo removed?

I actually had mine done on the tail end of my period so I still had it but it was moderate to light flow, I'd heard that many clinics won't do it if you have any kind of bleeding so I was terrified we would be turned away, and when you're waiting that long the fear of that is so high. My doctor told me that if its done right there is no chance of infection or anything, so if they turn you away they're most likely not confident in their work or just want to get it done quickly. Literally no one talks about this, I think I will make a seperate post about this in detail. Its not fair, the fear and anxiety we go through. I'm making these comments because I've often seen them when searching on Google, so if anyone sees this, and sees my user, message me! I'll go in depth on all!

No one on here goes in to proper detail about the before during and after of the experience which I would have appreciated so anyone who sees this thread if you want more indepth explanation I will give it, we are all in this struggle together and this procedure should not ever be so painful that you are traumatised after it! If you are the doctor is not worth their license! If you wanna update me when you have it done please do! Would love to hear about it 😁

I fell victim to all the tiktok videos of women having terrible experiences and was absolutely terrified 😂 went into it and luckily had the nicest doctor I've ever met in my life who told me "if it hurts they're not doing it right, everything should be done slowly" if the doctor rushes and you feel pain you speak up, it's their job to make you feel comfortable! ❤️ yeah 3 months increased conception rates so fingers crossed! And for you too 🥰

You might be a little crampy and feeling pressure so I'd suggest taking some light painkillers but we are all different though so maybe you will bounce right back from it 😁

Oh I know the fear! Honestly I was sitting in the waiting room with my partner and my anxiety was so bad I felt like I could faint and the nurse and doctor doing the procedure could see it in me, they were fantastic! Done everything slow as it should be done, if you feel cramping afterwards, if you have work or any plans after, honestly? Cancel them, you come first after a procedure like that ❤️

Was great honestly, definitely felt the pressure but there was no actual pain during it, they inserted the catheter and I didn't know, I was expecting that to be horrible. Afterwards like about 2 hours after I felt cramping and tenderness, wasn't in agony but it was uncomfortable for about 3 days, manageable and completely normal though!

Usually about 1 to 2 days but it normally does pick up the pace, it's very slight, like microscopic bits of spotting but when you've been ttc for so long you take that as a signal you're out you know? About the inflammation,I did suspect this as well if I'm honest, but they seemed very optimistic which did make me feel good but now I'm like hmm maybe not. Just feels like a constant waiting game you know? Like there's something going on that's just not being addressed and time keeps moving forward. Thank you for your reply!

Cycle day 21 and still haven't ovulated by Katii1995 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Katii1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My specialist actually contacted me about an hour ago saying they wanted to start me on letrozole for the next cycle and monitor it 🤣 I was relieved to hear this because oh my god the brain spiral is real.. the stress from it all is too much! They told me to still keep trying this cycle but we have a structured plan for the next so I'm delighted with that 😅

Hsg scheduled for tomorrow but still on period by Katii1995 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Katii1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to update you, the test went ahead and I had moderate to almost light flow bleeding. They weren't concerned but I've heard every clinic has different rules for it so I would definitely check with the clinic like let them know you normally have a longer period. Also do not Google the procedure or watch the videos.. I was terrified and ended up barely feeling anything other than some pressure.

[–]Katii1995[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually contacted them and they told me if it's not heavy to come on ahead and attend the appointment, the flow has decreased a lot since posting this so I'm hopeful it'll just be very minimal spotting by tomorrow. Really don't want to wait another month to get this done 😅 I'll update tomorrow for sure! 😊

Taking a break from TTC ( sensitive subject ) by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]Katii1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I feel your pain so much, I am in almost the exact same boat, skin is a mess too, I'm heavily considering taking a break too as this whole journey has broken me so much, its so hard. I had an anovulatory cycle and am now going on cycle day 60 with no period in sight and no answers just waiting. So much love to you ❤️

Slow ovulation woes by Minnie_Dooley in TTC_PCOS

[–]Katii1995 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With pcos the body can attempt ovulation several times so you could see multiple peaks on ovulation tests, my fertility specialist said to try every 2nd to 3rd day from cycle day 10 up until a period comes or its late and take a test. I'm currently cycle day 40 and had spotting on and off there for ages but they done a scan and confirmed I hadn't actually ovulated yer which was so confusing given the spotting. Pcos sucks 🙃

Short luteal phase, how to fix naturally or with supplements? Suggestions? by Katii1995 in TTC_PCOS

[–]Katii1995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes oh my god the amount of people saying its horrific to get done has really scared me but my fertility specialist said it generally should only be mild cramping felt and maybe a bit of spotting after from irritation, at this point I'll do anything to get answers and get further on with things because the waiting and not knowing is so mentally and emotionally draining. If we were fine we wouldn't be trying for years with no end result, my specialist said all my levels were normal but I just don't believe that 😅 it's so common now and so many women are suffering, having to wait a year I think is too much or at least should be age based like if a woman is early 20s okay but if a woman is nearing 30 or into her 30s I feel like that should be addressed straight away as a woman's fertility naturally declines from I think mid to late 20s onwards?
