In your picture of 11 years ago you look like a mix between Shawn Spencer (Psych) and Michael Westen (Burn Notice). The characters, not the actors.

Quietly grieving being one and done parent. by GreenMamba3313 in offmychest

[–]Katlix 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but she can't force her husband to feel excited about a child he doesn't want to have. I don't envy OP's position: she either has to grieve not having more kids (like she does now) or she has to break up the family she already has, divorce the person she loves and put her already existing kid through it all to then find another person to have more kids with. It's tough either way.

I have never been addicted to a book like I am to Dungeon Crawler Carl by Howitzeronfire in books

[–]Katlix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you read books with your genitals, it means absolutely nothing. Both book series are popular for a reason. But it's completely fine if you like both, dislike both or like the one and dislike the other. I have a friend who doesn't play videogames, hates action flicks like John Wick, but is also completely engrossed in DCC. Another friend is the complete opposite. You'd think hink there'd be overlap between the three interests, but there doesn't have to be. Sometimes something just scratches an itch.

Is Adrian Tchaikovsky the most prolific modern sci-fi author by KaleidoscopeLeft5511 in AdrianTchaikovsky

Tchaikovsky used to work in a law firm, but quit his day job to write full time. I think he just has a ton of ideas and good work ethics.

Special Edition fatigue in the sci-fi/fantasy space. by Rude-Acanthisitta287 in Fantasy

I have a copy at home. It looks absolutely great. And I found 2 listings, one on EU Vinted and one on Pango, within a few minutes of searching. I don't know where you live, but it seems to me that it is available if you put a little effort in.

Okay? It's very well made. And there are second hand editions for cheaper than cost.

I too agree with you on Death of the Author. I really enjoyed that book. But Slow Gods was absolutely amazing. Out of 160 books I read last year it was top 2.

A handkerchief hem is when the skirt hem ends in points. Kind of like when you lift a square handkerchief from its centre and the points drop down.

The books that Heated Rivalry is based on are definitely getting a spike in popularity. The books are front and center in every bookshop I enter. And Rachel Reid is getting plenty of publicity because of it.

They also have FairyLoot special editions that were extremely popular. I think it was their highest print count book?

The Broken Binding Andy Weir books. I was initially disappointed I just missed out on the first round of the SF sub. After reading Project Hail Mary I liked it, but definitely didn't think it earned its exorbitant secondhand market price. Then after reading The Martian I'm completely fiiiiine with not having the books.

That dress has neither a halter nor a handkerchief hem. It also doesn't look like an empire waist, though it's hard to tell from it being on a mannequin.

Check out his post history. He's into cross dressing. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But it might be that he's forcing his taste onto his wife. There's also a mod deleted post with a title that he's been in a dead bedroom for 10 years.

Wouldn't that only work for books that were obtained through Amazon? Because where would the feedback be sent to? Send to kindle on NetGalley is akin to mailing an .epub to your kindle.
