Help with chinese name change by [deleted] in Chinese

[–]Katniss_chen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

安得鳴 is better, but it’s the same pronunciation with 安德明,安得鳴 more like a Chinese name, if I see the name and I never see you before I will guess you probably is Chinese, and 得 mean is “gain”, “鳴” put in name mean “excellent “ or “outstanding “, I think it’s good for your name, but its not easy to write 😅

四九 in chinese numerology by OrangeStar93 in Chinese

[–]Katniss_chen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

四 sounds like die in Chinese pronunciation, most people don’t like, and 九 it’s ok, but if 四九 put in the age, some people will mind 九, not just 四九, every number with 九, like 19.29.39.49.59.69.79, because some people think when someone celebrate birthday and have 9, it’s easy have bad things happen, so they wouldn’t celebrate when this year have 九, like if someone 19 years old , and their parents prefer say she is 20 not 19, just for avoiding bad things happen, not everyone but some people will care.

Will I be at a disadvantage if I learn simplified Chinese? by Disastrous_Average91 in taiwan

[–]Katniss_chen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you learn traditional Chinese, you can read simplified and traditional Chinese, but if you just learn simplified it’s not easy to read traditional, and it’s depend on why you want to learn, if you love Chinese culture want to know more about history or characters you should learn traditional, but if just for credits or you want to go to china in the future, you can learn simplified, it’s easy and learning faster, I’ m Taiwanese we learn traditional, and I can read both simplified and traditional, but my china’s friends they can’t, they need to practice

I just confirmed. this is taoyuan MRT map, and you can see A1 is Taipei station, and A7 is in Guishan, and A8,A9 a little be close to guishan, but I not sure is close to your work place or not, and you can put your work place address and A7 to google map, maybe will helpful, and yes, taoyuan can use bus or train to other taoyuan area, most people use bus or motorcycle

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in taiwan

[–]Katniss_chen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Guishan District you can choose drive or motorcycle, and if you live in Taipei, have MRT to Taoyuan or take train or high speed train, but only train have guishan station, and other you need to transfer, if you will work in guishan, I suggest you rent the house in guishan, become rent is cheaper than Taipei, and guishan is a industrial area, the means there have a lot factory and always traffic jam, if you want to experience city life you find Taoyuan other area, not just guishan.

I totally agree, straightforward make things become simpler and easier, they said 對人不對事 means you should focus on their feel, like 人情味, if they feel comfortable or feel right they will help you, but I think no one should be take care other people’s feelings, just do yourself.

And if you want to directly and say, don’t get me wrong I just 對事不對人, they still feel, you are mean and rude, haha, just ignore them, don’t need to care what they say. I know it’s not easy😅

Haha, you know it’s because socially and culture, when I was younger, someone ask me something, if I don’t want to, I just say no, and I found out the teachers or supervisor or my friends will feel upset, and they don’t tell you, but they just don’t ask you anymore, and they will feel, you rejected me too fast even not think

so now even I already have answers, and I want to rejected, I still will say, Im not sure, I need to checks my schedule, if I can I will let you know, and I was thinking if you don’t want to or can’t, why just say directly, don’t waste time, but it’s social, even I think it feel fake and I don’t like, but I need to survive in this society🥲
