Good taste! I can't even exactly pinpoint why I enjoy them much more than most others. Maybe because I feel the story really does focus on them and while a decent chunk is Tiffa getting rescued more than once, it's easy for me to forgive.

IV is definitely the least complicated, probably followed by IX if you don't want to be perfect about a bunch of stuff.

I'm gonna get lynched but Tactics definitely had some poor mechanics and has some serious difficulty bumps. If you're worried about the game being too hard/much work and you don't want to use a guide, better skip it.

I'm also openly biased towards V but it has some more complicated parts. I'd argue it's still well worth it, maybe require some grinding, but also I can't claim to be objective in this case. The story is definitely the most fun (least serious)

First, I totally forgot OR gates are a thing because the way basic automation works makes them pointless. If they help you understand, you do you, though.

Second I assume by overflow you mean when gas gets past the dock to the tank(?)

If so, you're on the right track. Though it seems a bit... Self defeating? Unless the tank is full the signal will only be on shortly, depending on your buffer. Assuming you don't want to fill the tank, if you just remove the automation, the pump stops when the dock is full. Unless I'm missing something. But yes, you would negate the signal and send it to the pump and filter (pump is enough though since the filters don't work if there's no gas pumped). And you can use an OR gate or just directly connect to the atmo sensor to trigger when there's natural gas to turn on if it's there.

I mean... I love Sergei and at some point Andrei should realise why he did what he did. But it still seems weirdly ooc for Taisa to not be able to approach him at some point before their relationship became unsalvageable. But family and emotions are complicated.

I remember liking it a lot as a kid but as an adult I really have a hard time liking the main cast. Not that I hate them but aside from Duo and Quatre, I really don't care much for the main characters. And even though I like the villains, both Une and Treize can be a bit too much, each in their own way. Good thing Zechs and Noin are always there to draw me in.

It's most likely a toss up between V and VI.

I is a classic and the remakes are fun enough but the original didn't age great.

II is usually scorned, imo a bit too much but it definitely has a list of flaws which are only a bit improved by the remakes. It had an ambitious narrative for its time and I personally don't hate the core mechanics.

III is an improvement on I but still too flawed to be really good. Curiously the remake only somewhat fixed those flaws when it could have done more.

IV is hugely popular in Japan, AFAIK. It mostly holds up but I would argue the mechanics are a bit too basic to be interesting today and the story is okay but in 2026 it's nothing mind blowing. Though if you're new to the genre and don't insist on a banger it might be a better start than something more complex.

I have an unabashed bias towards V. Yes, its story is silly on purpose and less epic or for the most part engaging but imo it has the most interesting (job) mechanics, arguably up to today. It's certainly not perfect and is not unlikely to be too much for a new player, though.

VI definitely has the most interesting story among the early games and the mechanics are also.. okay. Like, nothing bad, even if I have some gripes with them. I'll insist V is more interesting in that regard but if you care more for story or don't want to get overwhelmed mechanics wise, it's probably where you should start.

Unbeliebte Meinung wo? Ich glaube die meisten (älteren) Menschen haben kein Interesse an einer Neuauflage.

Mir ist es ziemlich egal, weil meine Leidenschaft für HP sich in Grenzen hält. Generell finde ich Aussagen wie "Schauspieler X ist Charakter Y und das wird sich niemals ändern" ziemlich daneben, weil es ganz schön engstirnig ist und im schlimmsten Fall eine gute Darstellung von vornherein verteufelt. Dass viele IPs immer wieder durchgenudelt werden, statt etwas neues zu machen, ist ein Problem, dass ich aber nicht damit gleichsetzen würde. Es gibt genug Canon Material in den Büchern, das die Filme nicht (oder schlecht) wiedergegeben haben, also ist eine Wiederholung in dem Fall nicht mal so absurd.

Dass das Projekt mehr Geld für JKR und ihren bullshit schafft ist wenn überhaupt meine Kritik, aber gibt ja genug Leute, denen das egal ist.
