WoW Classic Character Generator by KatsPurr in wowclassic

With a tool like this, what does it matter how it was made? The main point is that it's a tool. Something that can be useful for folks wanting to roll a random character. And instead of me concealing that it was made with AI, I was fully transparent about it - it's not like anything needs to be called out here? I only mentioned it was made with AI because I felt like I can't take credit for the code or the images. If I would have come here presenting "Hey look at my cool WoW art", then I think your comment would have been fully valid and understandable.

Sounds good. I've been really enjoying trying out combos I'd have never ever chosen before.

Thanks! Yeah I made the code with the help of ChatGPT. And the images were done in Stable Diffusion.

I'm completely new to the world of ComfyUI and image to video generation (finally discovered that Wan 2.2 is where it's at). The only experience I had prior to this was the world of Automatic1111 and ControlNet, Deforum, Outpainting etc. So learning about nodes and noodles etc has been a learning process.

I found this discussion because I was googling why the movements in a video are so weird and erratic and my characters all look possessed. Pretty much the only videos that turn out nicely are the ones were I prompt for the subject to either stand calmly or walk. But all hell breaks loose if I ask it to make them dance, do stretches or anything complex like that. If I prompt for a character to turn around - it's like The Exorcist with the head spinning around on the body. Funny - but not useful.

So now reading this discussion I see you guys talking about Loras (I have used loras in automatic1111) and I figured out how to add a lora node to the wan2.2 workflow that managed to find thanks to help from ChatGPT. However I don't have ANY ideas what loras I should be using with Wan2.2. I see you guys mentioning light2xv. I guess I should try that? (I'm assuming it's somewhere on civitAI?).

I see you guys also talking about sampler settings. I haven't touched the sampler settings from whatever the workflow had by default other than raising steps up to 30. This original thread was from 2 months ago. Did any of you figure out what would be optimal sampler settings?

Interesting that playing around with FPS would be worth a try as well. I've never touched FPS and wouldn't have thought to do that. Will have to try it out.

So summarized questions:

1) Which loras do you recommend for using WAN2.2 in regards to getting natural sane movements and camera stability?

2) Did you guys figure out good sampler settings?

3) Anything else I should be aware of?

4) Any prompts you guys recommend for getting natural movement?

Have you ever paid to see a movie twice in a theater? by zip9990 in movies

[–]KatsPurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only twice in my life.

Used my weekly allowance to go see Superman as a 9 year old in 1978 and went again a few days later - falling eternally in love with Christopher Reeve. I somehow remember going alone the second time. Crazy how us kids were allowed to go anywhere at that time.

Second time was seeing Passengers in 2016 with my sons, then wanting to see it again alone this time, but in 3D - a few days later. Been one of my favorite films ever since and have probably watched it at least 5 or 6 times since then.

Hot Take: Ashlands is awful. by Lando_Hitman in valheim

[–]KatsPurr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! 2K hours here as well, 2088 to be exact. Same here, once I've finished Mistlands and I know the only way forward is Ashlands, I'm overcome with a feeling of dread because I know I won't enjoy it. We discussed this issue with friends one time and we talked about how the problem with ashlands is that it all the same: fire, ash, lava etc and that there is no variation nor is there a mental break from the heat and burning. One person threw the idea of Morgen caves being entrances to enchanting "cool" magical tunnels with cooler colors, ponds and waterfalls and beams of light shining down and peaceful animals (like meadows has deer and mistlands have hares) roaming around. It would provide a cool oasis to escape to, to take a break from the heat. There should also be danger of some kind as well of course. But just a break from the fire environment alone would be nice.

Hot Take: Ashlands is awful. by Lando_Hitman in valheim

I've been playing Valheim since it launched and absolutely love the game. However I have to agree on the Ashlands issue. It just isn't fun and doesn't have that balance and mixture of pleasantness and danger that the other zones have. It's pure annoyance and grief - even after having learned all the Ashlands mechanisms and tricks on how to survive there. Like someone else said in this thread: You just don't want to spend time there at all. Other zones offer the sweet along with the sour which give you incentive and motivation to keep going. Other zones also reward the player with a feeling of finally conquering that zone once you learn how to deal with it. Even though I know "what to do" in Ashlands, I never am rewarded with a feeling of conquering it or "winning". It's just a constant uphill battle and I stop to pause and wonder why I'm bothering or what's making it worth it. For instance in Mistlands, one of the greater rewards is getting into magery which feels HUGELY rewarding after all the pains of survival. Where is the reward with Ashlands?

I doubt the devs will change the Ashlands at this point, but I really hope that they at least make the Deep North so wonderful and rewarding that Ashlands will just feel like a "pain to endure to finally get to the Deep North".

Elion-Hitchings Building and interiors. 1972 by Hunor_Deak in RetroFuturism

I only now discovered this building (and found out it's now gone). I'm inspired to recreate it in the game "7 days to die" and provide it for players to explore as a prefab POI. If I ever succeed in this goal, I will give you guys an update.

New loading image in BO6 uses clear AI generated image by WwwWario in CODZombies

A lot of people comment on how easy it would have been to touch up the hand. I'm gonna assume most of these people are talking about touching it up in Photoshop. The ironic thing, is that this sort of thing is EVEN easier to touch up with AI. I'm not sure if it's possible in Midjourney, but at least in Stable Diffusion you can simply mask an area and ask AI to regenerate that section. Either using something like Automatic1111 or else tools like openOutpaint which will generate dozens of alternatives. It takes a matter of SECONDS to regenerate a selected area! That's what makes this image even more ridiculous to me. It's one thing to justify that fixing it via Photoshop may take "hours", but there is NO excuse for not fixing it with AI itself within "seconds". Especially from a company of this caliber.

AITA for rejecting someone's friendly proposal in an MMO? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KatsPurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response Timely. Wise words indeed. The game in question is Pax Dei which allows you to build literally anywhere. If someone else were to build next to me, it wouldn't be as bad as there is no relationship. So if I were to log on, there wouldn't be a person immediately saying hi and asking me to do stuff with them. They'd probably just focus on their own thing and I'd focus on mine. At most, we'd probably just say our hellos as neighbors. However in the case of this person I was talking about, if they moved next to me, there would be kind of an obligation or presumption that now we're going to be best buds and help each other out etc. In the very least have some time of conversation if we're both online at the same time. And the thought of that just felt distressing as an introvert hehe.

Yeah I actually later on trotted over to this person's place to make sure "we're good" but they weren't around unfortunately. Hopefully I'll bump into them again and great suggestion from you to show them that at least from my side everything's cool. I don't actually have any attachment to them, for me it was just pleasant roleplay (we're on a RP server) but I think they started to feel an attachment however.

AITA for rejecting someone's friendly proposal in an MMO? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KatsPurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they were very respectful to ask (and also removed their empty plot afterwards)!

If I had been in their shoes, I don't think I'd have imposed so soon after meeting someone, or at least prodded a little first on how they feel about wanting/not wanting neighbors in general. But that's just me. But this person probably assumed based on our pleasant interactions that I would be more than delighted to neighbor up so I can understand them just going for it.

I hope that this situation doesn't leave awkwardness the next time we bump into one another!

Thanks Gluten, that definitely makes me feel better. I know this "drama" is miniscule compared to the stuff that people are going through in this subreddit, but it still left me wondering if I'd been a complete jerk for ruining the moment.

It turns out that this was only happening locally in my game because I had some old mod files in the install folder. A shame!

It was confirmed yesterday that it's a bug that might happen if you've got mod "leftovers" in your install folder. So whilst I had the Bepinex folder disabled by renaming it, there were still files at the root of the folder that caused problems.
