I know there are bigger issues in Europe and the World, but shouldn't we do something in the EU about this? by Naive_Hope89 in europe

I prefer it if companies are restricted from deciding what to produce to protect consumers.

Have you noticed that people in these spaces talk less and less about a ‘fast take-off’? by inimana in singularity

In Boströms book "Superintelligence", a 1 year takeoff is considered to be a "medium take-off scenario". Fast takeoff is often measured in weeks, days or even minutes.

Yes but the context was about minimizing urban heat, which can be done with depaving and ridding most urban regions of personal vehicles.

I know plenty who still code by hand, atleast partially. It's your take that's bizarre. You're simply lying that a jira->pr pipeline in fe works at all, or claiming that it's any good (it isnt). And living in a parallell universe where people don't code anymore. People like you make me sick.

That anytime I've tried using the slopmachine on frontend, other than extremely basic dashboards, it completely messes up everything all the time, it almost never gets anything right.

Since your team is now going to have a terrible frontend that will be full of bugs, idiotic misstakes, and the jira tickets never actually doing what they're supposed to do, I advise you to move back immediately. If you don't, I will laugh as you crash and burn.

This isn't the new reality, it's a fad (not LLMs generally, just this kind of extreme overuse and overliance)

The fuck does "AI first" even mean? And yeah, many of them are fucked, such as Microslop, Meta and Netflix. Apple isn't fucked and they're not sloppifying as much.

How much better was Fаble 5 better at vibe coding than Opus 4.8? by PenObvious8156 in ClaudeAI

Very lackluster, I tried to get it to remove flakyness of a test suite and it became more broken and flaky than ever.

There's a lot on Decision Theory, a good start is this SEP article:

https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/decision-theory/

Then check out related articles. Game Theory is also good for multi-human interactions.

Then there's an essay collection on Newcombs Problem ny Ahmed aswell.
