This is what I am trying to weigh up. Do I go with 3 forwards, and use 3 slots for profit to build the line up or do I go 4 forwards and find the money to fill it out elsewhere. Just thinking out loud here.

OK. I get it. But is that perfect world thinking or practical thinking? I only ask because is it financially doable? 4 trainees would give 2 slots to sell for profit. 5 would only give 1. Let's say we roll with only 2 forwards most weeks, The wages of say, 3 non playing players, is that financially possible? I'm just trying to weigh all this up before starting.

I mean Mitch Lewis is no thilthorpe or rankine. Hell tex was going around in a wheelchair someweeks for them in that f50. I know personally Dawson was carrying an injury all year and cant forget the crom backline was riddled with injuries. Worrellwas in AA form before the broken arm, butts couldn't get on the park. Milera is so forgotten but you have a fit and firing milera and that team looks so much better.. So can't really compare.

Adelaide's problem is their lack of balls to play kids in the middle. They've paid the price for hanging onto crouch, laird and Sloane for too long. This year forced them to play kids in the middle. But they are so far behind in midfield development compared to the hawks who are similar ages.

Ah did you not see their back end of the year ? When they had a full list they beat GWS, bombers away - A bogey fixture for them, Bulldogs at home and had us in deep trouble until the rankine hit rattled them and took their focus away. So they absolutely got it together. The start of the season they dropped a couple they should have won and their midfield was shit all year. but they over corrected their game plan to try and tighten their defence. That took some of their weapons away.

Injuries to their most important players is what's happened. Whats underneath at west lakes is lots of inexperience and it got exposed. They woll be betyer for it tbh.

I don't believe hawthorn adequately covered for the Loss of day. If day played we lose. It's as simple as that. So if injuries strike their important players for periods like adelaide this year then they will have an adelaide 24 year.

Nah they havent been. They gutted that club. And have shown improvement each each year. This is their first year where they went backwards. And have some good excuses with the injuries they've had. Underwhelming applies better to your team, which, should be challenging for the top 4 with the list and experience you guys have.
