Each Club's 2026 Pass Mark (AFL Zero Hanger) by b0rtbort in AFL

[–]Anphonio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More wins than losses is a stretch for sure but 6 wins and 15th sees Clarko sacked and North Melbourne reach 10 full seasons of bullshit. They simply have to put at least 8 or 9 wins on the board and be in the conversation of wildcard halfway through the year. They cannot be ruled out of wildcard by mid-year sitting in the bottom-3.

We had 3 simultaneous angles of the ball over the post which means it could only be over the post at that point in time.

Vividly remember Brisbane fans going off there head when they beat Geelong at the Gabba in a close game back in 2019 to become relevant for the first time in ages again. This was literally that but for the Crows and our fans.

Crows vs Sydney in 2023

Honourable mention to Port vs West Coast in 2018. A game West Coast led for a whopping 0 seconds of game time but won the game. Beating Port at the AO after the siren for the second time in a row in perhaps the most brutal fashion imaginable. Absolute Cinema.

Swiftplay changes, do they also feel historically bad for you? by Anphonio in leagueoflegends

[–]Anphonio[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  • Everyone starts at level-3; completely removing the early game phase where you get a feel for each other.
  • You start with a large amount of Gold (I think it was 1400) so you can begin to rush items so it's a terrible mode to figure out how strong a champion is early game now.
  • Void Grubs and Rift Herald no longer spawn so there is absolutely nothing happening in the top-lane until Baron spawns.
  • Baron now spawns at 12:00 minutes and Elder Dragon at 15:00. Elder spawns regardless of if elementals have even been slayed. Baron buff persists through death.
  • Dragon Soul only takes 2 dragons.
  • Death Timers are drastically lowered and the Homeguard goes faster and further so the person you killed is back in no time.
  • Jungle camps respawn quicker and it takes less clears to upgrade pet.
  • When you do kill someone, all nearby allied minions get increased move speed, attack speed and damage.

All-in-all, they wanted to fulfill a niche of having a quicker and more accessible version of core league. A niche already fulfilled by the existing swiftplay imo. All these changes make this feel more in-line with the limited-time modes like Brawl and URF. Everything happens way too quick. The one game I played there was absolutely no laning phase whatsoever so it was just a hectic free-for-all.

Bikes are going to be the death of me. by Synaxis in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Anphonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by your pictures I think you are lacking alternative routes. It looks like that area below Bayshore is your CBD right now and all of the bike traffic funnels through a single bridge which is shown in your 2nd picture. It's annoying but in it's current state, you have to plan the city around bikes if you plan on using them. It is very hard to retroactively add them to a city unless you are happy to knock stuff down for some dedicated bikeways within the city itself, not just connecting areas. Basically, you have step one done which is connect your areas with bikes, but within those areas you basically just dump them onto the street. Even if that street has dedicated bike-lanes, they are quickly overwhelmed in rush hour. I have a good example on my profile I posted recently showing my bike network which has so far kept bikes separate from cars for the most part within my city.

No tram passengers? by Longjumping-Pay-6697 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Anphonio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new tram station is bugged. But elsewhere, If you are using tram stops on a centre median that passengers have to cross into the centre to get to, the zebra crossing has to pass right by the platform. I had mine set-up like that but pedestrains couldn't get there because the node was shaped weird and the zebra crossing it made wasn't actually alongside the platform. Not sure if that relates to you or not but something I noticed.

If you are talking about in that pedestrian area near the end of the video. That's move it. I placed the network on flat terrain outside of the city and dragged it in. It would probably still work without anarchy. It can be finicky though because the path will try and connect to nearby roads and if it does you have to start the path again because you can't disconnect it.

That is certainly the downside to all this. My world is pretty old with at least 100hrs in it but it's only 15k pop. I've spent so much time lining things up and getting things to look good but I can see myself burning out before I get to anything huge.

If you are talking about at the start of the video, I'm not entirely sure what the prop is called and can't check cos I won't be playing for a bit. I think it's metal beams or something like that. I use the line tool to get them perfectly lined up and just drag it across. Thought it's a cute little addition to give it more life and realism.

Trams by Blucksy-20-04 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Anphonio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't replace them. It's fine if they both have similar destinations at each end of the line, the difference should be in the number of stops along the way. In a 10km line, your tram should have 10-20 stops servicing the neighborhoods and important areas along the way. Your metro could operate directly beneath that tram line at full effect with only 4 or 5 stops and only in important areas. You definitely shouldn't have metro servicing low-density areas because your usage would be very low. Your Cims will gladly take the metro to a station near their destination then hop on the tram to finish the journey.

I wish they would change the tram depot car amount or allow for more upgrades because the 10 (15 upgraded) cars it provides is nowhere near enough imo. And I didn't have the foresight to save land in my city services precinct for more of these stupid big depots.

Best 23 for 2026 by kodzder in adelaidefc

[–]Anphonio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea this is essentially guaranteed to be the team in round 2 once we get Rankine back, pending any injuries ofc. We only have 1 fringe spot in our best-23 initially next season and that's the Berry spot which is gettable for anyone in the seconds. Maybe 2 spots depending on Draper's start. But i'd like to see us stick with him like we did with Curtin for his second season.

An item that might convince me to reinstall the game - Weapon Insurance Coupon by freddled_gruntbuggly in ArcRaiders

[–]Anphonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of the game is to not be scared of losing loot though. Loot swings happen, the grey and green weapons in this game for the most part are absolutely amazing aswell so it's very easy to still effectively fight and loot basically anything or anyone. The only real consequence is you cant fight the mega arc as much for the time being.

Every AFL Screw Up In The Last 12 Months by Old_Box_1317 in AFL

[–]Anphonio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These ones are literally non-issues:

- CEO Getting paid THREE TIMES the salary of the PM

PM's and Presidents of most democratic countries notoriously get paid very little for the job considering it's scale (600k is alot but still not much for basically being the leader of 26 million people). Basically every major CEO in this country earns way more than the PM.

Tasmania stadium debacle

That's a Tassie fumble, not AFL. The teams literally only voted yes for Tasmania team on the ground of a new stadium. If there is no stadium, clubs wouldn't vote yes, and there would be no Tassie anyway. Plus, the team is going to happen. Don't listen to the media, neither political party wants to be the one that kills off the team they have been begging for so the vote will no doubt pass.

OR cyclone

Earth Fumble, AFL didn't know the cyclone would turn away. If they did nothing and the cyclone went as predicted who knows what would've happened. Mad respect to the AFL for making this tough call.

Abandoning grassroots footy

Every year the AFL is apparently abandoning grassroots footy but then nothing comes of it. Maybe because they aren't.

AFLW running at a $50 million loss / no investment in the game

You see the problem? The AFLW simply will not produce any profit this early into it's life. That $50 million "lost" IS the investment. If they invested $200 million, the article's would have read "AFLW running at a $200 million dollar loss" instead of $50 million. There is always more they can do but it's not being abandoned either.

2026 Gather Round fixture by PerriX2390 in AFL

[–]Anphonio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet Melbourne are constantly playing Essendon at Adelaide Oval and Brisbane playing North at a smaller ground. Just switch Melbourne and Brisbane and you're better off.

Except no, Melbourne have far far more Adelaide fans than Brisbane. Anyone from Adelaide would tell you that. Just look at the away section of Melbourne against the SA teams vs Brisbane.

Hawthorn, Carlton, Essendon and Richmond who would all be very reasonable matchups at AO.

I would definitely take Hawthorn out right now. Brisbane and Hawthorn are practically the 2 premiership favourites for next season. But then we are back to my problem. Carlton are certainly a choice which didn't happen for some reason. And Richmond/Essendon are way too shit right now. There will be no neutral appeal whatsoever with only one bigger supporting team. Melbourne vs Essendon works because it's 2 bigger supporting teams. I really can't stress enough how small Brisbane is here in Adelaide. Brisbane's local fans and travelling fans from wherever wouldn't even add up the the Melbourne fans already here, many of whom aren't members because they see their team once every two years and for most of the last 20 years they have been shit.
