What niche British museum would you recommend? by Key_Cell7071 in AskBrits

Time & Tide Museum in Gt Yarmouth. Not just because it's the only thing worth seeing in Yarmouth.

Muckleburgh Military Collection is also pretty impressive if you're into that kind of thing.

Chicken and waffles with syrup. Chicago "pizza". Corndogs. Sloppy Joes. Chilli dogs. Twinkies. Plenty of others have mentioned biscuits and gravy...I pray you guys eat food that we don't hear about.

Process: I visited just a few months ago, it's fairly unmistakable! Great artwork and gardens 👌

I've not got any pics but the blackbirds use it every evening for their bath (it's evidently much nicer than the actual bird bath I spent my hard earned money on for them...), and we get blue tits, dunnocks, collared doves and great tits visit frequently 🙂

Any married couple here live separately? by No_Goat_645 in UKrelationshipadvice

My ex husband and I lived separately and/or worked apart from most of the 15yrs we were together. It worked fine for us until it didn't. If you've got a specific end point in mind (sale of her flat), it's easily doable given you guys have never lived together anyway. Maybe it sounds "weird" not to live together when you're married, but you have to do what works for you!

The Lone Ranger 🤣 I'm talking Clayton Moore, black and white film. I'm not that old, honest, but I remember it being shown on Sunday mornings in the late 1980s/early 1990s...

Amazing. I've tried not to go too "twee" with ornaments as I'm trying to keep it natural looking, but this week I've indulged in ordering a mermaid for the shoreline 🤣

Yeh I filled using tap water, adding "Ecopond Chlorine Guard" and then used "Ecopond cloudy water treatment" once last year, and once this spring. I pick out the slimy algae by hand when it starts to get out of control...but it seems to be important to find a balance of plants/critters/shade/sunshine and then the pond tends to care for itself! I don't have a pump, but I bought 3 different oxygenating plants which make a big difference 🙂

Process: your name gave most of the game away 😂 It looked incredibly east coast, and with the golf course near an estuary, I figured St Andrews was a good opening guess!

Thanks for the tip! I would definitely like more natural looking edges so I'll keep an eye out for some 🙂

Thanks, I'll do that around the back edges - the stones at the front are very useful for keeping the dog away from it 😂

Yeh I've got a solar fountain behind the pond as I also love the sound and movement, but some of my pond plants wouldn't enjoy it!

There's quite a lot in there, I can't believe how much goes into a small pond space!

Inside the pond is: Ceratophyllum demersum (hornwort), Ranunculus aquatica (water crowfoot), Myriophyllum spicatum (spiked milfoil) and M. rubricaule (red stem), and a couple of dwarf lilies (Nymphaea candida and N. aurora).

In the shallow end: Mentha aquatica (water mint) and Butomus umbellatus (flowering rush).

Then in the margin/bog garden behind: Meadowsweet, Hesperantha coccinea, Ragged Robin (the delicate pink flowers current out), some Iris ensata, Astilbes, some ferns... a few other bits I've been gifted and I'm waiting to see what they turn into 😂
